I asked if they would help with a legal medical situation last year. Now looks like they missed out lots. I found a fantastic solicitors on the Wirral who has not only got the hospital to accept fault, but they have also found it's an unsolved issue that was never fixed in 2011. Now 3 surgeries in 2014, 3 last year and 2 so far this year and 2 planned for soon as can. Plus 7 heart attacks have made quite a large case.

They also didn't ask about pay as automatically assumed it was legal aid or no win no fee. I make between £1600 and £2000 per week, as own a company. Why would I use that as it's useless. This 1 charges £350 per hour, but a good solicitor finds After Affect Insurance. This was £500 but they even paid that as say claim will be in excess of £million. Wage loss alone if goes to 2011 stands at £600,000. All together it's cost me 1 1st class stamp.

Would not use again or recommend. Took over 3 years to do a straight forward divorce. Mediation charge a fortune to talk through what you already know about your finances, just in a soft voice. Didn't feel like they guided you through it or fought for me. Never received a Decree Absolute so don't even have any proof of my divorce.

If you want to progress a house or flat sale/purchase, don't use these to do it.
I'd like to leave no stars as part of the review but you can't. So far, 23 weeks as part of a chain, with these acting for one of the parties. Still no sign of a date, the standard response from them is " we're dealing with it". Save your money and look for a more capable solicitor. They have made a stressful situation, even more stressful. They seem unable to complete the most basic tasks. Just found out, were still waiting on a search. Still, they've only had nearly 6 months.😡😡 DON'T USE THEM!

Truly awful. It took 5 months to complete a house purchase on a vacant house with no chain on either side, because they couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone to the seller's solicitors when they got no response to emails. In the end I had to contact the vendor directly and ask him to find out from his solicitors what was going on, which is outrageous. 18 months later and I'm STILL having to chase these people up to try and get my house deeds. DO NOT USE THEM.

Our sellor used this firm on the day of completion, there was a delay due to our bank which meant money didn't get to Birchhall untill 4pm (office closes at 5ish) A Birchall agent at their leyland office wanted to go home at four, despite my solicitor pleading with her along with entwhistle green who even asked if someone else could complete the paper work so we could get the keys. She apprently refused very rudely and knowingly left myself and my partner homeless.
She would rather leave the office early than pass our paper work to a colleague to complete, leaving myself and my pregant partner homeless for the night. Do not use this particular office as personal, caring professional support won't be found here.

Hidden fees

3% flat rate, meaning 3% is the least they'll charge. They will add on extra charges, a grand here, a grand there. If you express concern over this, they'll take that as you saying you don't want them to take action on the matter and they will leave you with mounds of legal paperwork to complete with no information or guidance to go off. Essentially, that 3% is to pay bills in the event of somebody passing. I saw little to no progress and had to chase them up on a regular basis. Would not recommend. It was like trying to get blood from a stone

Excellent - solicitor was efficient and calm. Just the help needed.

Never update you. Have to chase every single day ringing upto 10 times untill they finally pick up. If buying a house and are a first time buyer, avoid these. Was recommended by mortgage advisor too.
