Very poor service. My husband had a motorcycle accident, not his fault, resulting in a dislocated shoulder. John Measures who dealt with the claim seemed very professional at first but it soon became clear that he wanted to push the claim through quickly suggesting a figure of £4,150 for compensation. When I queried the amount I was told that "no court would award you any more". The JSB guidelines for a dislocation are between £8,000 & £12,000. We consulted another solicitor who agreed that the figure was too low & that further treatment was required to alleviate the pain & restriction of movement that my husband was still suffering from. Now 3 years later, following a number of procedures his shoulder is considerably better but will never be 100%, the claim has been settled at £20,000!

Whilst always incredibly professional, Alison offered us a very kind and gentle approach in what for us was a very sensitive and upsetting situation. My Brother was represented by Barrett’s for many years, our experience wasn’t the best. My brother had to ask for everything he wanted or needed and it wasn’t very easy to get. He’s been with another Solicitior for for over 5 years now and his quality of life as improved so much. His current Solicitior is amazing and so understanding. Yesterday his tv broke and he actually said can you remember 20 years ago when I wanted this TV? He went on to say how much he had to ask and felt like he was asking for too much. I can not and would not recommend Barrett’s.
