Centre of Berkhamsted is the Library, complete with historical texts of the town. I've included a few pictures of the canal, as there is no anchor point to add photos in Google.

Handy place to talk loudly, eat your lunch and cut your toe nails.

This is a much reduced in size compared to the previous site however it maintains the essential service in a more compact layout.

The reference section which was a large upstairs room has been mostly lost with just a fraction of the reference section available.

I presume the former reference sections important records have been moved into storage somewhere; however a search in the national archives does not show where they are now.

Given that Hemel Hempstead library was also moved at a similar time, it too has lost its dedicated reference section and suffered a similar fate.
