Great Parndon Library

I have tried using the facilities of this library, at least 4 times and I always regret going in there. It is very hard to study. It is always extremely noisy, people come round to chat and even use their phones while you are trying to read. I find it very disrespectful, as libraries should be a quiet and peaceful place for those who are willing to get some studying done.

Lovely library 📚 lovely friendly staff. However wifi is not always good. Computers sometimes take ages to load things. Apart from that lovely place. X

No toilet. People can be disruptive. Librarians don't care if people are loud or vaping. No useful books, only fiction. Computers never in use, but logs you out after an hour, can't use again that day. WiFi was down temporarily, when it came back, could no longer connect for months until they got a new system. It's OK if you have nowhere else to go.

Just been to toddler rhyme time, a really nice class for the kids and being free it's a great resource. However the younger woman with short hair and glasses has absolutely no rapour with the toddlers and was very abrupt with my daughter twice in half an hour. She wasn't doing anything wrong she was just being a toddler! A real shame as she's now ruined it for us and we are unlikely to return.

My kids loves to spend time here , large selection of children's books.
Smaller selection for adult books but can always ask staff to order the ones you want to read.

Friendly, organised and when I visited they had a piano

Spacious local library, lots of study space, great kids selection. Small selection for adults, but ok. Cat sculpture on wall inside.
