North Library

My favourite library! A little one but with many books of all kinds. Good/fast WiFi available, as well as many computers to use (the staff don't mind to extend the 1 hour allowance if nobody else is waiting or has booked the position). Can busy in the second afternoon and just before lunch, but it's in general kind of quiet. Lately though, there have been workers renovating the part outside, so that noises and dust fill in the library.

Terrible experience. I was given a library card whose number was had been used before, as books had already been borrowed with it before I started using it. When I asked the staff for help he was incredibly unhelpful, and possibly even made things worse. He kept addressing problems I did not have instead of answering my actual queries. In the end the issue was not solved at all, since he wasn't actually listening to what I was saying. It's a shame because the library itself is nice, but with such a terrible service I won't be returning there.

Great local library.

Well used by all the young families nearby and had a great children's section on the top floor. They also have readings for small children at certain times of the week.

Downstairs they have a decent to impressive collection of graphic novels and I believe there's some sort of monthly comic meetup there.

Also the building itself is stunning and very well maintained.

Libraries are awesome, you should go.

Love this library and Islington libraries generally! North Library has a great selection of books, dvds and cds to borrow. Easy to reserve items. I have also attended baby bounce sessions in the upstairs children's library which are free of charge. A brilliant community asset.

They could do with a few more computers and somebody to sort out the printer when it goes wrong but in 2019 I can't complain seeing that we are lucky to still have these libraries. We take so many things for granted that we don't realize what we have until its gone. Make the most of these services while we still have them.

Bit disappointing, no scanning without a USB. One can't scan certain documents. Nice library just needs updating.

A great library with a lovely Children’s space. Fully accessible with a ramp and lift.

They do a baby bounce on Fridays at 11 if you’re part of the Islington Borough - check the bright start schedule!

I visited this library after many years - as in 20 years ago. It's way more spacious and nice and quiet to get work done.
