Northwood Hills Library

Probably the worst library ever. The staff were rude and very at noisy and one time they had a crying baby in the children's area. I was unable to concentrate and furthermore, they don't have sockets next to any of the tables! Not a good place to bring your laptops in. In serious need of renovations and librarians that know when to keep quiet. From the morning till the evening the librarians were busy talking among themselves and I could hear every word- its almost as if the librarians don't know that they are working in a library!

I am surprised at the negative comments I have read here, concerning the staff of, and the facilities afforded by, Northwood Hills library. Over the years that I have using this library, my praise for the friendly and extremely helpful attitudes of all the staff I have encountered is unstinting.

That the library might not be most quiet of places for personal study is probably a reflection of the changing role of libraries in the community, as well as a shift in attitudes to what is considered to be considerate conduct in public spaces. For better or worse, gone are the days of the public library as a forbidding place cloister-like silence and squeaking linoleum.

Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, lots of books to choose from in both: adults & kids section. Great selection of audiobooks, travel guides, fiction books etc. Some books are in foreign languages.
I order my cup of coffee there, read a magazine in peace and quiet surrounding while my child browses throug children's books. Love our library <3

First time ever coming here and staff are very welcoming, I found it easy to find a book I would like, it’s very quiet inside too.

The toilets are also very clean and easy to locate.

Very friendly and helpful staff.

A wonderful, well -used library. Very nicely laid out to make it easy to browse. It has a computer area and an area where there are children's books. They have many clubs on different days and times, appealing to a range of ages and interests. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There is also a small coffee bar. On your way in or out in the lobby there is a notice board and a selection of leaflets giving information about community events etc.

Very helpful people working there.
If they don't have a book in their library then they will be able to get from another within a couple of days.
You can also order your recycling bags as well.
