Good selection of books, staff is helpful when you ask. However, if you want to do some work, bring in your earphones because it can get quite loud with school children. Staff don't enforce a "this is a library please be quiet" policy, and unfortunately they are guilty of making noise, talking loudly about Game of Thrones while you're trying to do some work...

I have given the library section of the unity two stars and this is down to one specific staff member Augusta. She was so unnecessarily rude. The printer was not printing properly and left marks on my poster, she first asked why they had come out like that, to which I replied how am I supposed to know it is your printer. And then she said I would have to pay for these. The tone and everything about her was unacceptable. After speaking to the manager she did rectify the problem by letting me have the print outs for nothing however she also failed to understand that no one should be made to pay for print outs that have not come out properly. This experience really let the library down most of the time this place has lovely helpful staff. It is a shame really.

My first experience on Monday 30 September. I had an appointment for 9.10 which Cancelled at 8:24. I immediately went to the surgery because I had a lump which had burst and fluid was flowing. I said to the receptionist I was a pensioner and needed to still be seen. I asked for the medical practitioner nurse but was there was not one. She turned me away to urgent care at chase farm hospital. When I arrived at the hospital they told me I should never have been sent there because I needed surgical treatment and the doctor should have seen me at the surgery. . I then had to go to Barnet hospital. On my way there the doctor did call me and said he had tried at 10. But I have an iPhone which shows NO WAS MADE TO ME. I was given antibiotics and told to return on Tuesday morning because I needed surgical treatment possibly a general Anaesthetic.

On a positive note I needed dressings each day. When I returned to the surgery NATASHA AND SILVONNE were the most helpful ladies organising my seven appointments. Thank you very most appreciated ladies.

Rude librarians -the ladies were helpful but the men was absolutely rude. Wouldn’t expect this from a local library .I wasn’t able to go onto a pc the way the man told me to go upstairs was just rude not professional at all..

Island village library is my local library but I went there on Tuesday 13.30pm. No one was there - I was forced to come to this library and received such disgusting service - I would rather read a book online and buy a printer at home than come here!

Nice and quiet with plenty of space to work. Toilets were clean and it's close to lidl and cafes to get something to eat/drink. Aircon is pretty high though, even for a warm day you'd need a cardigan in there and maybe a scarf.

Staff talk loudly to each other, shouting across the room, then have loud phone conversations. Not to mention the noise from the medical centre. If you're looking for somewhere quiet to study, AVOID!
