Very lovely but not suitable long hours study. Toilet facilities remains shut almost everyday. That is very unkind. They should fix the related problems, but it seems like they are avoiding it by locking the door. That's not very wise. Facilities are to be used.

The opening hours are great, the staff are friendly and helpful, well used by all sorts, young and old. Friendly atmosphere all round. Only drawback is some of the reference books are very old, but I suppose it's not a university library. Great for general fiction and children's books, including multilingual.

Friendly library, something for everyone with a quiet study place on the 2nd floor with plenty of places to sit and plug in your laptop. I retook and passed my maths GCSE last June after too many years to mention and did the majority of my study here, so thank you to all the staff, keep up the good work.

I really like the library people of all ages coming to enjoy the books and things a lot noisier than it used to be but I guess that's OK the staff are very helpful and friendly

Looks old from the outside though, I was impressed by the children library on the first floor where there are several human height cartoon figures. Very adorable. We were given a goodie bag before left. My toddler enjoyed it.

Please note this review is not applicable to the staff who work at Lewisham library as they have always been kind and friendly.

Recently in Aug 22 a decision by Lewisham council was to move the children's library section from the first floor to the ground floor. What this means is they have created a significant risk in the distinct possibility of children running out the front doors and either injuring themselves in front of oncoming traffic.

I am also appalled by the fact that the ground floor only has adult lavatories with no children facilities whatsoever so had to embarrassingly change my daughters nappy on the floor of the men's toilet while other men were walking in and out.

Whilst trying to scan some books in, my 2.5 yr old daughter ran out of the library and I'm mortified that the decision has been made without a thorough risk assessment. Who's child
is going to have to suffer before someone realises this was not a good idea?

The council should be ashamed of themselves for such a poor decision.

Absolutely terrible printing service, PCs startup about 5-10 mins and at the end when you want to print A3 format it says it can’t print! Spent 15 mins for nothing! Time stopped here 20 years ago! Avoid
