Large and spacious, great place to go and work. Tables have plug sockets and USB ports. The only downside is that you cannot connect your laptop and phone to wifi at the same time but that is the case for all libraries in the borough.

Avoid the nursery rhymes and story time if you are looking to study/work concentrate but other than that, I’d say it is very much recommended.

they have recently refurbished and it looks very modern and sophisticated- has a wide range of books and also does a wonderful reading time with staff, parents and young children. They also have a range of arts and crafts stations for free at various times. The staff are very helpful and there are lots if seats and tables. They really do have something for everyone! :)

Joined this library because it is close to me and also stays open till a little later then others.

Saying that there is a lot of noise I’m doing my masters and need a place to do some work. Staff are loud and playing with the kids that come in which makes the atmosphere seem like a kindergarten.

Sat in the study room which is not segregated for silent studies. Needs to have seperate rooms so that whoever comes in for some silence to study can.

Other than that staff are lovely and the place is good for someone that doesn’t mind noise whilst studying.

The staff are not aware of where the childrens' books are shelved. I asked 3 different members of staff to help me find specific books and all three pointed me in the wrong direction. I asked how to reserve books and although I was given a verbal explanation, my son and I were rushed off the computer 10 minutes before closing time. The librarian actually turned off the computer while my son was about to use it. One staff member in particular was more interested in rushing to close the library before 6pm than anything else. She even got annoyed that her colleague answered the phone to help someone renew a book. I've had better service and treatment at a retail shop than I did at a place which should be about encouraging education. I'm sad to say that their priorities were elsewhere and it wasn't a positive experience for my 4 year old son.

We love our local library! There is a small carpark just for library users at the back of the library. In the library, there is a nice small fairly cosy area for children to chill and read or browse for books. I think the selection of children books are pretty good. And if you can't find books in this library, you can go to your account online and reserve the book that you want and they will bring the books from other libraries for you and inform you via email once your book is ready for collection. Service can be slow sometimes but the staff are doing the best they can and they are super friendly and helpful. Its my child's favourite place to be and can easily borrow 10 books at a time! Just need to be mindful of their opening hours as they are not open for the whole day and not every day is necessarily the same closing time. Check it before leaving the house!

Nice Library! Its quiet and everyone enjoys reading there, there are also computers available for working and there used to be some nice toddler reading sessions. Also there were some fun holiday crafting activities for 4-12 year olds.

Lovely helpful staff and good location for us as we live close by in Canons Park. My daughters like the atmosphere and books available and we visited here regularly before the coronavirus restrictions. Keep safe!.
