This is a lovely light, airy, modern library. They have a good selection of books - fiction, non-fiction, audiobooks, other languages, and lots of kids books and DVDs. As part of Libraries West you can order books from dozens of different libraries to be collected here, so even if they don't have what you want they can get it pretty quickly.

There's a slide in the kids area and sometimes they get a little overexcited so it's not the quietest library around, but staff do a good job of keeping noise under control while still letting the kids have fun.

The Monday baby and toddler story time and rhymes group is excellent, facilitated by a very theatrical and enthusiastic guy. It's a popular day and I often attend just to use the slide and space for children. Very modern

This is a children's play area. This is not a quiet area for peaceful learning and contemplation. It does not deserve to hold the title Library and it is likely the local authority had to provide a library so called it a library by name only and placed a children's play area within in order to tick several boxes at the same time. It it's hard to tell if this is down to corruption or stupidity.
If you are looking for a place to study avoid this location like the plague.

Is used as a meet up place for mums with screaming toddlers. It's meant to be a library, the one place in this world you can get a bit of peace and quiet. You can take your babies literally anywhere else. Defeats the whole purpose of a library.

A very decent collection of books and the reservation system is brilliant.
However, there is no out of hours return and fairly restrictive opening hours for a busy professional which is difficult.
In 2019, there should be facilities to pay fines by card and online.

It is what it is fully stocking a wide range of books on a wide variety of subjects. Internet is available book online times in two hour blocks. Papers and magazines available. Clean open spaces seating available. Staff on hand for any information you may need.

Staff are lovely, kind and very helpful. Although, I am very disappointed as it can be very noisy at times, hence defeating the purpose of a library. This is typically due to parents/carers using the book corner area at the back of the library to let their children pass their time, whilst they talk to other parents/carers. The keyboards are also filthy and could do with a clean. Opening times are also fairly restricted; though I am not holding against the library as this is not in their control, rather the councils...

It's truly a wonderful place where you can study in peace with a children book corner , it's not a huge place but it's good enough to make me go there a second time
