Dunstable Library

Amazing new library with coffee shop. I like that there are lockers in the library so you can leave your valuables in there if you need to step out or go to the bathroom. It is also great as they are open for long hours, 10pm on weekdays, 9pm on weekends. If you are going to be here for a long time, I would recommend bringing a jumper as the air con is quite intense.

Library and resources are great but have just been pounced on by a security guard (I kid you not) for bringing a Costa cup of tea into the reading area. Where was he yesterday when 10 kids were running around the whole floor screaming their heads off? Or last week when 3 kids came in ate the food at the computer section while playing games on line with the sound turned up and shouting at each other? That's right, he and his 'bovver boots' were nowhere to be seen! Dunstable Library apparently does not welcome careful readers but is very happy to be a creche, nursery, games room, discussion area, place for phone calls and people learning languages on line with no headphones!

The Dunstable library have been brilliant all the way through covid. I went into the Library to return a book 📖, did you know you can ask about what books that you have read, so you don't pick up the same book. They gave me a History of what I had read. It was very helpful 🙂.

Nice library.free internet and WiFi.good cafe in the leisure centre.

We use the library mainly for the baby groups. Rhyme time on a Tuesday is fantastic and baby sensory on a Thursday. They are brilliant and the two ladies running them are great, really enthusiastic 😁

Awesome place and great book variety for Kids

Nice place, in the leisure centre. Loads of kids activities. We went initially for the baby sensory session but stayed for a story after. -1* for having to pay to park.
