Cowley Library

Lovely bright and sunny building with Beautiful Old fashioned 'proper' wooden bookshelves and a light and airy building with a reference room and a children's section.

Great place to study - very quiet when I visited - but no toilets. It's alright though as you can go to the public loos in the Cowley centre (5 mins away) if you want to be there all day.

Good local library. Quiet! Well that depends on who is on that day. What happened to silence in libraries. One member of staff talks extremely loud and it's constant. Difficult to concentrate reading and choosing books with her being soooo loud. You can hear her all over the building so how people in the computer room manage I don't know!

All staffes very helpfull.
I think library's need a more book.

Great selection of books, friendly staff, good covid security.

Still great - a haven of books and stillness that's a lifesaver for many kids who don't have a safe place to do homework at home.

Constantly updated selections - always something attractive to read.

Great library, well stocked with a wide range of books, and staff are very helpful. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to libraries, so I like the fact that it's quiet, too. Central Library in city centre is full of people chatting loudly, even the staff!

Arrived here at 405pm to use the printer. It took until 414pm to log in and at 415 it logged off, the computers log off 15 mins before closing. There is nothing to tell you this, the staff don't tell you, it just says it takes a long time to log in. Absolutely shocking facilities for a Cowley library surrounded by student accommodation. No wonder people use university libraries because the council ones are pathetic, oh and the lady with the long hair and glasses is extremely rude.
Not sure what this library is still doing there Tbh.
