Also used as the polling station and has a small selection of dvds to take out on loan too.
Friendly staff. Helpful to have instead of going to the city centre.
Update. Been here loads now and I'm always so impressed with how lovely and helpful the staff are. We take the dog now, so I stand at the open door and the staff are there instantly to help my 6 and 8 year old with massive smiles on their faces. Nothing is too much trouble. We left a photo in a book once (one used as a bookmark), and a lady there recognised my girl from the photo and gave it back to us. Doesn't get better than that.
Firstly, the two members of staff at the front desk were talking very loudly - and sometimes being quite rude to other customers. When I'm trying to quietly work, this doesn't help. Every other library I've been in, the staff make an amazing effort to respect their users. Definitely wasn't the case here.
Then when trying to rearrange things on the shelf (which is fine within itself!) They once again talk in really loud tones mere inches away from where I was sitting.
I will give the benefit of the doubt and say that yes, the place was really clean and well-kept. But it is a dated building with no internet access (big problem for modern learning). And it's far too small. It needs to be revamped and expanded if it wants to succeed in the future.
The second nearest one I can use is in the city centre, so its massively disappointing that I can't come to a local library.
