Shays Off License

Worst newsagent in leicester. The guy is a sycophant, and is only nice when he's getting your money. The shop offers a paypoint service which is FREE, and is prohibited under the terms that you can charge to use this service. Shay's always says there is a 6p charge, which is not allowed. when challenged about this, he becomes aggressive, won't serve you and says it is his right to charge. he has been reported to paypoint, and the ombudsman for his conduct. DO NOT GO TO THE SHOP, unless you want to be ripped off. ALL paypoint terminals are FREE for customers to use, and you should not be charged whatsoever.

When I used to live in Leicester as a student a couple of years back I always used to go to Shays. Top bloke and good range of stock!

Not good. Says that is open from 8 till 10 Pm. Most of time is closed. Be aware.

UPS service point. Friendly shop owner. Unique selection of spirits. Not open on Sundays, but open until late during the week.

Terrible off license. Refuses to take UPS collections too! Avoid at all costs!

Forgot to print out my postage label for my UPS Parcel. Staff were really helpful and printed my label there for me as well as helping me to package my parcel.

Dunno if it's changed hands but going there was like a therapy sessions sometimes! Also cheep drinks

The man at the counter was very helpful with my Amazon return. I had already been to a different UPS return centre that day, and they had simply told me that they couldn't help. But Shay's can-do attitude worked out a way to sort out my return even though the Amazon labels weren't working properly. Good counter service!
