A lovely educational experience. The Mill is run by volunteers who give their time to teach younger generations all about water mill.

Quirky but definitely worth a visit. This is a water mill that has been restored and works. The team of restorers are Engineers who live locally and are very interesting to talk to. The is a tiny loft up some crazy stairs children love this. You can also operate a flour hoist. Free entry donation box at entrance. It is a small building and a brief visit... but worth it if only to remember what Cobham used to be before the Ferrari's and footballers.

Very interesting piece of living local history. The volunteers do a brilliant job and are extremely knowledgeable. I heartily recommend a visit to help keep this wonderful bit of heritage alive.

We visited on the first open day of 2019 and it was fascinating. There was a film explaining the history of the mill, its partial demolition to widen the road, and the restoration of the remaining part in the 1990s. The water wheel was turning and when the mechanism was switched on, flour started trickling down the chute. The visit put this local landmark into context and made it come alive.

Not much of it left since in the 1940'a the council knocked it down to let the road have priority. The remaining bit looks interesting but you can only go inside on certain days when the "Friends of Cobham Mill" are available to guide and assist. I had a wander around the outside, but that's very limited to stop you falling in the weir. Worth a visit, but probably on an open day.

Charming little water mill. Less common survival than the better known windmill. Does the job it was designed for - milling grain. Free entry 1300-1600 on second Sunday of month during summer.
