Liked: We like everything about Nantclimbers. This was our second time here and it won’t be our last.
The location is totally off the grid, but only an hour away from our home, so you feel a million miles away. The cabins are totally engulfed by beautiful trees so it’s peaceful and quiet. We’ve always been surrounded by lovely people who appreciate that peace and quiet too.
The kids were made up with the new addition of a home made rope swing :)
The cabins are always well kept and clean and there’s plenty of space. It is camping but with a more sturdy accommodation so do take all your camping essentials.
The fire pit is brilliant for cooking on and having camp fires. There’s is wood kindly provided but so take your own.
Toilet and shower facilities are great and are always clean.
There’s nothing we don’t like about Nantclimbers :)

Liked: Perfect location. 5 minute's drive to the lake at Ellesmere where the kids had a blast on a row boat. 40 minutes to Chester zoo. Location was a lovely woodland setting with cute little cabins and firepits with wood provided. Was quite shaded in the heat as well, which was a bonus for us. Very clean toilet and shower facilities. Will definitely be returning!

Disliked: We didn't contact the owners of the site but the front door wouldn't lock. We were only there for the weekend and had all our valuables in the bedroom at night and with us in the car during the day. If we'd had very young children it may have bothered me enough to complain about it. Not really a complaint, but the door was difficult to close and would not lock at all.

Liked: A lovely spot, secluded with only a handful of cabins. Clean toilets and showers. Wood to use for fires too. We really enjoyed our stay and our 7 and 3 year old loved it, they were able to walk around safely, only concern was there was a smaller lake that wasn’t fenced off, so with younger ones I was a little worried. The bunk beds had a very low side so we didnt feel safe enough to put the children up on the top, but we put beds on the floor, it wasn’t a big problem and easily rectified. All in all a great weekend!

Liked: We stayed for 2 nights with our 7 and 8 year old in the Fox hut. Our friends had booked out the other huts, so we had it to ourselves for the weekend. Site was lovely and secluded, hut was bigger than we thought with plenty of room. Hut, Shower and toilet block were immaculate. Toilet paper and washing up liquid was provided. Fire pits and wood are also provided and a good size under counter fridge to store food/drinks as well as a kettle and coffee/tea making facilities.

Parking is close to all huts and electricity points are also outside (as well as in all rooms in the hut.)

Owners sent an email with all info we needed before arrival, including phone numbers. Our son left his phone when we left but I called the owners who found it quickly and said they will post it back to me.

Loved our stay and will certainly be returning.

Disliked: Nothing, loved it all.

Liked: We loved it and cannot wait to go back. We enjoyed the simplicity of the BBQ and adding the logs to keep the fire going for the evening, whilst we sat around it in our dressing gowns chatting. There is enough of a signal to send WhatsApp messages if needed, though they may not be immediate, but it was so refreshing to generally have phones out of sight. We stayed in Squirrel and found all the beds very comfortable, and made up the two doubles with double mattress protectors, sheets and duvets. The heaters are very effective. There was a kettle provided and we took a toaster. It is very dark at night, though the sensor lights do light the way to the shower block clearly. I would take a night light if we took young children. There isn't a lot of room for personal belongings, but you don't really need much at all, mainly charcoal, fire lighters, food and a bottle opener. The shower was so good, Jill declared that she would be moving in permanently.

Disliked: Just bear in mind with big dogs, there aren't any walks from the site, you would need to drive out from the site.

Liked: Well maintained and accessible amenities including toilets, showers and washing up area. Amazing location inside the woods. Very friendly owner, warm and welcoming, clearly gave directions regarding the stay. Basic glamping needs well thought out - we were provided with tables, benches inside and outside, comfy bunk beds, kettle and a small fridge.

Disliked: The track to reach the cabins inside the woods was about a mile from the shown location, which we didn't know before. Adding this as a dislike only because we reached the place after dark and there was no phone signal.

Liked: Great place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights in November and had the whole place to ourselves. Could have stayed longer. The hut was clean and loads better than a tent in November! Kids loved toasting marshmallows & the surrounding woodland which feels remote even though you're not far from civilisation. We will hopefully be back.

I have just returned from a one week stay at Bluebell Treehouse lodge.

The interior is beautiful, very thoughtfully designed and the decking area is spacious and private. Looking up at the stars from the hot tub in the evening was a particular highlight. All furnishings are delightful and the entire experience felt luxurious and premium, especially when compared to similar priced lodges I’ve stayed at in the past.

The champagne, milk and information available were thoughtful touches, and I also appreciated the bin bags, dishwasher tablets etc.

The woodland walks on the doorstep were absolutely perfect and the lady on reception was very friendly and lovely as well.

All in all I couldn’t fault anything about the lodge or park in general.
