Mackinder Farms Holiday Accommodation

Stayed here for a week and cannot fault the place. If you are looking for a quiet out of the way place this is it. Lovely big towels were supplied along with a smaller towel and a towel to use for the spa. Spacious and comfortable. Plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around and play. Highly recommended.

I stayed in one of these lodges recently with my partner and some friends. There were five adults and 3 dogs in the lodge and we had tons of room. The decking is absolutely huge and has beautiful views. This site is a real hidden gem. You can walk for miles on safe, level country lanes, which all the dogs loved. Close to major towns and accessible for main routes. We've already booked again for next year, and recommended it to friends. The site is quiet and safe for children as well.

Lovely spacious log cabins. The owners were chatty and helpful without being intrusive. Made a great base for days out in Leeds and York. Handy enough for supermarkets in Selby but peaceful and calm on site. Hot tub was great and plenty warm enough even at the end of October. Thanks for a lovely break.

Just spent a wonderful weekend in the Pheasant Lodge. Clean, spacious, well equipped and very warm. Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied. The hot tub was fabulous, not overlooked. Very dog friendly. James was very welcoming.
First class weekend. Will definitely book again. And will highly recommend to family and friends.

Myself ,my husband, 2 young children and our dog stayed 3 nights early new year.The location is lovley, very relaxing and calming.We stayed in the forge and it was to very high standard.Clean, warm and inviting.We had Fresh towels and a perfect welcome pack.James was there to welcome us and give is the infomation needed. He even helped us out with the items I forgot to pack (dog food and water bowl) . Since returning a number of my friends and colleagues have booked based on our photos and review . Like ourselves they won't be dissapointed. So happy to find a place we can go and suits our family needs.We carnt wait to return to our newly found luxury hide away.

A thorougly relaxing couple of nights in The Forge cottage - the hot tub was right outside the front door in a private enclosed garden - a roof would be a welcome addition but the tree provided some protection and it didnt put us off using it, even in the rain! Everything was clean and well presented, the welcome basket contained some lovely treats too! Penny welcomed us and briefly explained how to use the cooker, what to do when we checked out etc. the grounds are peaceful, you feel like you are in the middle if knowhere, but you are close to main roads with very easy access to Selby, York etc. All in all a very professional set up, will definitely return!

Took my family away for the weekend as a surprise birthday present. Wife, kids, in-laws and myself. All very impressed with the standard in the lodge. We were given a warm welcome by James who explained how the hot tub worked (private hot tub we had exclusive use of during our stay). The place had under floor heating throughout fed via ground source heating. Lovely walks nearby. Close to various days out.

A warm and friendly welcome to amazing hub of peace, and tranquility. Nothing was too much trouble for our host James and the accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. Perfect location to relax and unwind and the added benefit of being dog-friendly. The Selby ‘Horseshoe’ made an excellent walk and our cabin came with a luxurious hot-tub which was serviced daily. Thank you for a wonderful stay and making our Christmas a restful one. Hope to be back very soon. Fallen in love with the place!
