By the Wye Glamping, Riverside Accommodation

We're just back from our second family trip to the treehouse, and are already planning our next. This place is so much more than just a campsite - the accommodation is gorgeous, and the setting is just perfect. You can pack really light because almost everything is there for you. Would highly recommend one of the Woody Wilding adventures with resident ranger Dan - our children 4 and 5 absolutely loved it. So easy to walk across the bridge into Hay where you can explore the lovely shops and cafes. Shame that dogs are no longer allowed at the site, as our sausage dog loves it there, but we'll be back again nonetheless.

Such a brilliant glamping experience! Gorgeous, well thought out safari tents and a beautiful riverside location. We took our kayak to launch from site and the kids loved playing in the river. Warm cosy beds, lovely handcrafted interiors and a lovely welcome basket. Such friendly staff throughout the whole experience from booking to checking out. Near enough to easily walk into Hay on Wye for coffee, restaurants and shopping etc.

Fantastic stay. The place is absolutely stunning so peaceful and relaxing.
We stayed in the Cwtch and it was gorgeous, lovely views over the river, all the amenities you could possibly need.

This place is sheer heaven. The accommodation is beautiful and comfortable with evidence of craftsmanship and a deep respect for the environment everywhere. There’s attention to detail and a genuine desire for you to have a great stay by the fantastic hosts. The location is simply stunning and whilst you’re just a short walk from the delights of Hay town centre you feel like you’re deep in nature away from the hustle and bustle.

We stayed here over half term for a few days and it was just incredible. Such an escape from day to day life and TV. We cooked outdoor on the firepit, kept the log fire going inside and enjoyed some lovely family time outdoors and playing cards....!!!

Really lovely stay in a beautiful location. The safari tent was really comfy and well equipped. The attention to detail was amazing from the ornate bed frame to the toilet roll holder made from a small branch. The complementary gifts were a lovely added surprise we weren’t expecting. You had coffee, teabags, chocolate mints (which are delicious) crisps and even a pair of warm socks for every member in our group. Overall we had an exceptional time and was well looked after. We loved it so much we’ve booked to come back.

This is the most wonderful slice of heaven. We have just spent 4 days living in this amazing space, enjoying the comfy coziness of the tent (the bed is super-comfy and so warm!), the instant hot water, the small, well equipped kitchen….whilst making the most of the outdoor space and decking areas. We cooked on the outdoor fire pit every evening and enjoyed watching and listening to the wildlife on and around the river. We were totally at one with nature and we have absolutely loved it!!!! The walks directly from the tent are amazing and Hay on Wye have some fab cafes and coffee shops. We would definitely recommend and we will most certainly be back. Many thanks to the while family for such a warm welcome (the small gift hamper was so generous!!) and checking in on us throughout our stay. A wonderful holiday :c)

An absolutely amazing weekend at By the Wye who catered for everything you could possibly want. A fabulous location, luxurious safari tents and the most welcoming and helpful hosts! We appreciated the welcome hamper that included some very lovely treats! Everything was of a high quality, and thought out with great empathy for guests, and the environment. The food hampers we ordered surpassed our expectations in both quality and quantity, and as we were lucky enough to have good weather, we enjoyed cooking everything outside. It was a delight to watch out grandson’s enjoying an array of outdoor activities. We all had such fun and would highly recommend a stay at By the Wye! We’ll be back to enjoy more.
