We bought an almost new 2012 Lunar Lexon 420 in 2013. It had only been used for a couple of weekends, so we saved lots of money. We have now had it 5 years, so I think that's a fair test of a caravan. We use it often, and its been excellent. The standard of finish is very good, with almost no issues. In those past 5 years the faults have been as follows. The battery charger failed, but I can't blame Lunar as this is a bought in product with a reputation for failing. Most manufacturers use this charger, so I replaced it with one from Appuljack Engineering. Fitted it myself and its been excellent. I had one screw come loose from the front window blind, I replaced it with a slightly longer one in 5 minutes. The lead from the cooker spark ignition came off, probably due to towing vibration, this was refitted by my service engineer on its routine service. Apart from those things, no other problems. So for 5 years regular use, I can honestly say I've not really had any serious issues. The van still looks nice, performs as well as when I bought it, and has been a joy to own. Looking at other caravan manufacturer reviews it seems as if there is always a cross section of very happy customers, and those who wouldn't touch another one of that make with a bargepole. The same applies to cars, and many other products. In an ideal world we would all be delighted with what we have bought, but sadly that doesn't always happen.

We have had our Venus 570/4 for 19 months now and love it.
We have been away every month this year and have had no major issues.
Any minor issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
We feel the build quality is very good and excellent value for money.
A great, lightweight caravan which has everything we were looking for

I’m on my second Venus caravan, a 580/6 bought new in 2015 and absolutely love it. Albeit a introductory budget range van, you would never know when compared to upper market range vans. Okay I’ve had a couple of niggles with it but these have been handled and sorted by my dealer smoothly and swiftly without any issues.
If anybody reading these reviews, considering a new van, I fully recommend looking at the Venus range. They truly represent excellent value for money.

Had our Lunar Ultima since March and found it to be fantastic. Loved every minute we have spent in it. Build quality is great and the standard of finish is amazing. Lightweight which is perfect for my tow car. Luckily we've not had any issues but I have contacted Lunar a number of times asking questions and have always had a quick and friendly reply. Would happily buy another Lunar again!

Contrary to some poor reviews here, our experience of buying a Lunar goes back to 2017 when we bought a new ariva. It has been faultless so far and all its systems work fine. But on its 1st outing the oven glass exploded, sending bits of glass everywhere. That's the only niggle but Lunar fixed it immediately under warranty. I can't comment further on customer service because we haven't had the need to use it. But 2 years on the van remains dry, reliable and is a pleasure to tow due to its size and weight. Ide buy another based on this experience.

An absolute headache of a company when something goes wrong! Cracked panel on rear and here we are 4 months later they won’t pay the dealer the hours to replace the panel! The dealer needs more time as they simply cannot replace it with the time Lunar authorise by a day work. My dealer has been fabulous and said they will cover the extra time but I’ve told them not too. Stuff them. Took 6 months for other warranty parts to arrive before with my dealer showing me the order. Van now gone and have gone to Swift which is sooo much a better build! Badly built. Constant hassle and problems from bad build quality. Don’t touch! For goodness sakes....don’t touch them!

I will only make this a short review anyone who gives this business more than 1 star really have not experienced appalling customer service, the shoddy build of this caravan company if I could give 0 stars I would the list of faults are to many to mention but if just these few words helps someone to make the right decision on a purchase of a Luna Caravan and there is only one decision to be made but if you do decide please go to the nearest seafront and throw your hard earned cash in the sea. Believe you me the sooner the caravan customer gets a governing body to back them up the better but until this happens they will be laughing all the way to the bank.

New Lunar (Lunar Automotive) are honoring warranties on old Lunars 2017,18 & 19 Lunar caravans until August 2022 with parts and 50% labour to help their dealers with costs, but some dealers are refusing to honour the other 50% and are charging their customers. This is not going to help the new company Lunar Automotive in going forward when all their surplus 2019 stock has been sold and this will damage the customers confidence in those Lunar dealers who are not obliging with Lunar and offering this gesture of good will by wavering the 50% labour charge. Because of this I for one will not be a returning customer.
