Primary Care Centre

Firstly, if youre looking for the "Walk in Centre" this is the building, NOT the Colchester General Hospital NHS walk in.

Secondly, I arrived at PCC at 9am (after Lockdown 2.0) on a Monday 07/12/2020 for a blood test.
*tip* for GP and bloods (use the entrance on the right, not main centre one).

There were 5 patients including myself.
Literally pick a number on the right hand side when you walk in (and RHS of reception).

I arrived to #30, rolling my eyes and expecting a long wait... 28 was shortly called. *Woohoo!!!

I was seen by 9:06am.
Out the door by 09:10.

No chit chat, polite staff, very efficient, very very pleased.

//its waaaay quicker than waiting on my GPs surgery number, well worth considering when you want an appointment.

I visited the ophthalmologist outpatient clinic yesterday . A male ophthalmologist who did images of my eyes was appallingly! He was heavy handed pulling my head to put look into my eyes,not interested in my disability as due to a traumatic brain injury , I am unable to see or open wide in one eye, he wanted me to open it wider which I am unable to do , so he got cross and pulled it open! What a dreadful experience !

A very good experience from start to finish ! All the staff were very professional and efficient. Was seen and treated within a week incredible speed and I was so impressed I wanted to share my views and give it the rating it deserves.

Young ophthalmologist wasn't listening to anything I was saying, he was determined I was wrong about my experiences & wasn't wearing his mask properly whilst inches from my face. Spent the next week worried about covid & stressed about ignored concerns. Wouldn't reccomend.

Honestly , the greatest hospital/care centre I’ve ever been to, the staff are lovely and i would like to give a special mention to Lorraine on the 1st floor in the eye clinic she was amazing with me today, so kind , polite, professional and reassured me at every point possible :)

Another visit to have bloods taken - what a pleasant experience it is. Happy, helpful polite staff who are on time, caring and full of info. Its such a nice place to be treated. I'm really glad I found a way to leave a review. 5 star all the way.

Spent hours on the phone, no answer, optician wrote an email to the Ophthalmic department, but no one seems to have received it. Have had a hole in the macula in my left eye, repaired and fixed by `Mr Patel and then my cataract was done. Now I am having problems with said cataract and no one seems to care. Very disappointed, all the hard work Mr Patel did on the eye counts for nothing.

These kind of people are totally useless because if you have an appointment with them and you call them they take so long getting onto the phone and when they put you through to somebody else they take ever so long getting onto the phone and then you think what is the point.of having a telephone if nobody answer,s it znd you think I might as well go back home .totally impossible.
