Worden Medical Centre

My husband & I have been patients of Worden Medical Centre for about 7 years now and have always found the staff (clinical and non-clinical) professional, helpful and polite. There is a lot of criticism surrounding GP surgeries at the moment, especially due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, so I feel obliged to praise the staff at Worden for their hard work. Keep up the good work and thank you for providing such a good service to us 👏

Hi! Not sure if you will ever receive my message, but the thing is it's very inconvenient to book appointments at your practice. I can't even book an ordinary appointment online, there are very few options in my GP app, and for all the other appointments I have to call you at 8 am, which means I can't book an appointment now and have to wait for Monday to book an appointment regarding my test results and then wait for God knows how long to actually find out the results. You could at least send me the results in my GP app or via sms or an email. Extremely inconvenient and stressful.

I recently moved to this practice, I was very sceptical about taking the step as I had been with my previous practice for many years. I needn't have been. The care and consideration I've been given here has been amazing. My Dr, Dr Alistair Bell, is a true gentleman and I feel safe and well looked after. The practice staff, receptionist's, especially Lisa, who has recently helped me with my prescription queries, have been kind and patient. All the nurses I've seen have been helpful, kind and caring.
I truly feel like I've hit the jackpot.

30 mins to get through, ridiculous. I've been a patient for 35yrs and sadly it hasnt improved much. I've google the website. It is truly awful. A very unprofessional webpage. No clear instruction on which website you use to access appointments. My GP isn't one they endorse, so why is it still there? Nothing from the recorded message or webpage to state use the NHS app. The business manager really needs to grip the communication and web pages. They are not fit for purpose.

Highly recommend this practice great Gps/Nurses reception staff always friendly and helpful same with the secretaries when I have been put through to them. Downloading the Patient access is a must I may not get to see the same GP all the time but I do manage to get appointments.

We have been with the practise 5 years or more after moving from another drs
Surgery that we were dissatisfied with.
We certainly made the right move and have always been treated with utmost respect by all staff.

Have had the best treatment ever and hence being in best health we can be for our ages! We thank you all!

Disgusting wait times while phoning up. 1st call I was 7th in the queue, went to 6th after 30 mins waiting! Tried to call back later on and was 5th in queue, after 50 mins waiting I was still 4th in the queue! The place closes in 10 minutes!!! Been trying to call since 16:00 it's now 17:50! 52 mins on hold this time! Disgusting! I've been a patient here for over 30 years and it just feels like the dedication and commitment to patients is truly slipping. Used to get through in about 10 mins tops.

I can't praise this practice enough. I have had multiple interactions with the staff over the last 12 months and they have all been amazing. At a time when we worry about our own health, and the health of our loved ones, they have been caring, compassionate, patient, cheerful and super helpful.
