Appalling service, can't get an appointment when other doctors surgeries are giving them out. They couldn't give a toss about there patients, as long as they don't have to do face to face appointments. My mum has been waiting to see the physio and they cancelled and now she can't see the physio for serval weeks. My mum doesn't call the doctors anymore because she knows there is no chance of getting an appointment. Called today and even today she is told that she can't have a doctors appointment only a phone call and even then they don't carry out with the phone calls.

Tried to contact St Leonard’s Practice today to find the surgery closed (for staff training) and the “E” consult unavailable (switched off). Eventually my call was transferred to an answering service who advised the surgery was closed and to use e consult - I told her it was switched off oh well she said ring 111 who said ring your gp. What an utter shambles. Since Dr Evans retired the surgery service has gone rapidly downhill. Shame on you!

Never have I had an issue with this practice for 50 years of being a patient, however the new GP and the current secretarys need to take a long hard look at the current service they offer, disgusting and to say they are really busy well so is everyone, time for Dr's to start being Dr's again.

I have been using St. Leonards practice for 6 years. More recently I had some health issues and was in regular contact with the practice reception, nurses and GP. I can only speak in high notes about everyone. The communication is quick and professional and the nurses and GP (in my case Dr Bossano) were absolutely great. I felt taken care of in a professional and personal way. They all are doing a great job under difficult circumstances. Thank you!

Wonderful GP service from the reception staff, HCA, nurses and GPs. Always helpful, kind and going the extra mile. Dr Bossano is particularly lovely. I don’t know why other reviews are being negative, the staff here are brilliant and work hard. I hope people learn to appreciate them and respect the NHS

Sadly this once good practice has hugely deteriorated. It's not just that it's so difficult to get any appointments. It's their attitude to patients. They treat them with contempt. I was in the waiting area for a long time one day and could not believe how rude the staff were to people on the phone and who came in. It was extraordinary how hostile, dismissive, and unhelpful they were.
This is a failing practice.

I was registered at St. Leonard’s when it was based in Denmark Road. I then moved over to the other side of the river, so registered with a surgery there. I came back to live in Whipton, and re-registered with this practice around November 2019. I was extremely poorly at the time, and ended up in the hospital for a period of time.

My GP is Dr. Ogilvie, and he is absolutely fantastic. I’ve always been able to get an appt with him fairly quickly, and he has such an interest in helping which is unfortunately unusual nowadays in medicine. Dr. Bossano could could with taking a page out of Dr. Ogilvie's book.

The only real thing that lets this surgery down massively is Maureen on reception. My entire family is registered with St. Leonard’s, and ALL of us have had an issue with Maureen at one time or another. All of the rest of the front of house staff are brilliant- kind, caring, considerate and efficient, and will genuinely go out of their way to help you. Sadly, Maureen let’s the rest of the team down. She’s rude, abrasive and unhelpful. So much so, that I’ve raised a formal complaint in writing to the Practice Manager. I’m not usually one to complain, but the service that I have received from Maureen has been that has been unprofessional and rude.

Other than that, this is a fantastic surgery with excellent staff. I’m never moving again!!

Horrible customer service. I am trying to opt out from NHS stealing my data starting 23 June 2021. I had to call the practice multiple times just to get the job done. I am still unsure if the practice will process my opt out form. I emailed NHS digital and only GP can opt me out. I will never go to any GP again! GPs cannot be trusted! I emailed the practice manager 31 May to opt me out but never heard back from her!! NHS digital emailed me a month later that GP has to process the opt out form.
