First Trust Hospital

I never normally write reviews on anything, but felt I really needed to share my experience at First Trust Hospital. I cannot praise this place enough my whole experience from start to finish was first class. I had breast enlargement surgery on Monday (22-2-16) and from the very first nurse who showed me to my own private room, meeting the doctor, meeting my anesthetist, seeing my surgeon (dr Bernard stleiter, who is amazing!) to the nurse who brought me back from surgery and looked after me during my stay they where all so attentive! I was very very nervous as I have never had surgery before but they reassured me they had the best team and made me feel so relaxed. Really I could not have been in a better place for my surgery. I was only a day case but I would have been happy if they told me I had to stay over night. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much to everyone at First Trust Preston.

I had an operation here on Monday. The place is so cosy and welcoming. The staff here are absolutely amazing. They are all so caring and genuinely lovely and can't do enough for you. I wish I could remember some of the staffs names but I was so groggy and on so many meds i can't remember. One particular lady was my anaesthetists helper. She was such a lovely lady, so quiet and well spoken. She totally helped to put me at ease. So did the anaesthetist, such a lovely guy. Thank you all for looking after me xx

When we first arrived the place looked amazing the staff were very friendly everything seemed fine at first. When you come to a private hospital to undergo a procedure I must say you want to feel welcome and comfortable but that was the last thing we felt, after spending £5k you would think you would at least be entitled to a free coffee/tea or something of the sort, I was charged £2 For instant coffee(which was luke warm) so i went to a lady named Julia(who refused to give me her last name later on when asked)to express these concerns, she then stated "you don't get complimentary food or drinks in any hospital this hospital isn't any different" (this is a private hospital..)i kind of stood there in shock of her reluctant attitude and just walked off. I went back to ask her of her second name but before i turned the corner i could over here her talking to a colleague stating "where does he think he is" this whole situation angered me that much that I thought it was imperative that I leave a review(hopefully the right person will see this and address the issue with "julia") i do appologise for this but after spending £5k on a cosmetic procedure it's just not the kind of service I was expecting at all and I especially didn't expect to be insulted behind my back by a staff member, I just want to say this is the first review I have ever written, im not that kind of person but this was unacceptable, on another note the surgeon's and nurses that we came into contact with were really nice, I guess it's just thar one bad egg.

Had surgery here on 7th August 2019. The staff were absolutely lovely. I arrived abit early and was taken straight down to my room. The health care assistant on duty was very attentive and polite (as were all the other staff). I was constantly asked if myself or my husband needed anything. Didn't wait long for my surgery, woke up feeling great, had something to eat which I picked off a menu earlier that day. Lovely experience here, cannot thank all of the wonderfuk staff enough

I had a breast augmentation at this hospital in 2017, although slightly dated it was extremely clean and my room was very comfortable, the CQCs last report was slightly worrying in terms of identifying where actions were needed but they do appear to have acted on them all to bring improvements.

I found the staff kind & friendly, especially the nurse who was assigned to me and had the awful embarrassment of having to inform me my surgeon was refusing to come and see me or check me over before discharge when I was in extreme pain.

All in all I would use this service again but not the provider who hired its use for me, which was MYA cosmetic surgery, my outcome and treatment by the company and surgeon has been vile, revisions refused despite multiple complications, they are highly unethical and patient safety is not a priority to them on any level, If you are considering MYA for your surgery please see the Facebook group-

My husband attended the clinic with me on the day of surgery and was also made to feel very welcome and able to purchase refreshments whilst waiting for me in theatre.

I had a BA at this hospital In February, Id never had an opperation in my life or anything like that, so I was terrified of having anesthetic and the whole procedure. Everyone involved in my care from the receptionist, the care assistants, the nurses and of course the theatre crew were amazing. Everyone kept me at ease. Thank you all so much especially the anesthasist for keeping me alive whilst under the knife my life was in your hands and you did amazing. Xxxx

I would highly recommend First Trust Hospital. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. All the staff was very welcoming and generally lovely. They were on top of every detail, all times I felt looked after and safe and this really helped me stay calm. Thank you for being amazing!

I had my surgery here today and I can not thank the staff enough. After a stressful morning caused by the company who I paid for the surgery with (I won’t mention names here) the staff, ie nurses, consultant, anesthetist all really turned my day around and made the experience enjoyable again, thank you so so much!
