I have been with Emsworth Surgery all 52 years of my life. They have looked after me for all that time.

I am very grateful for the kindness, help and care I have received from the moment I call, or pop in to arrange an appointment, or see the doctor.

By far my biggest thank you, to everyone there, is for the way they looked after my recently departed Mum. She suffered from a multitude of problems for 20 years requiring many many visits to the Surgery. Every time she was treated with care, respect and dignity. That meant a lot to both of us.

When you are ill, or a family member, relative or friend is ill, it is a bad time for all involved. It may be you that is sick, or worry for someone else. I cannot imagine the stress of dealing with hundreds of anxious, ill, worried people. Yet the receptionists and GPs have to. Not for a moment, or a day, or a week, but for months on end. Non stop.

There are far too few of these precious people looking after US. They are amazing people. Every one. They deserve our greatest respect.

Please, when you feel ill, bad, fed up, anxious, remember these people CARE. More than you can imagine. They will do everything in their power to help you. I speak from first hand experience with my Mum.

Thank you Emsworth Surgery.

All of you. You are great.

Adam

Please, when you feel awful, and you phone up, or drop in, please be kind too.

After a shaky start to my experience at the Emsworth surgery some two years ago I was surprised and delighted to have received a follow up call this morning from Dr W heckling that I was ok after a visit to surgery last week.
Don’t let anyone tell you the NHS is no good. When they are needed for genuine cases they are there even if under pressure from time to time.

First visit today absolutely brilliant. Surgery reception staff so helpful assisting with transfer from Somerset. Doctor polite knowledgeable and reassuring. Booking very easy. Thank you

The booking system is a disgrace. The receptionists are lovely but are just there to run defence to stop people coming in. I've not been to the GP in 15 years, I've called because i need to be seen. I've had 2 phone call 'appointments' and all that has happened is that the infection has progressively got worse. I'll just go and waste everyone's time at A&E then. YOU ARE A GP - YOU CAN ONLY DO THAT IN PERSON.

We are a family of 4 and joined the surgery about 18 months ago. We have been really impressed with the service; by medical staff and reception and would recommend this surgery.

I cannot believe that the surgery does not insist on everyone wearing a mask unless officially exempt. I was queuing yesterday and had to watch an ignorant woman who had refused to wear a mask, talking at close proximity to the Receptionist, who was wearing a mask, for at least 10 minutes, breathing directly at her and touching all the surfaces. Why should medical staff have to deal with patients who display such a cavalier attitude? All medical practices should post clear notices insisting that masks are mandatory and that people will not be seen unless they comply. By not doing this the Doctors are putting their responsible patients at risk and their staff. It should not be a choice. If someone refuses to wear a mask then they should be asked to leave. Masks should be mandatory in all surgeries and hospitals and it is up to the Doctors to enforce this as a duty of care to their patients.

Brilliant experience with recent vaccinations, in-and-out with military efficiency I've never seen anything like it in a health environment so impressive!
For those complaining about getting an appointment, get with the 21st century and learn to use e-consult, brilliant service that sorts the genuine from the timewasters

Tried to book in to see my GP. Not allowed, had to schedule a call back from the doctor. Clearly they are trying to avoid having patients back in STILL. No excuse - just terrible service from a government body that isn't remotely overwhelmed.
