I highly recommend this team of private GPs in Wandsworth. I discovered them through a work scheme, but have since moved jobs and stayed with The Smart Clinics for me and my wife.

We had an appalling experience with The Smart Clinic Wandsworth on Bellevue Road in relation to pregnancy-related blood tests and would recommend against using their services. Staff and management are unprofessional, lack integrity and refuse to take accountability for their mistakes, which caused severe distress to my pregnant wife. Specifically, my wife called the clinic on Friday, Feb. 25 to inquire about availability and cost for a set of blood tests. She was quoted £180 for same day results (4 hours) on which basis she made an appointment for Monday, Feb. 28 at 10.15am. On the day of the appointment, the following issues unfolded: the GP was unaware of the details of the blood tests to be done. My wife was told that the results would not be available same day. And once the blood was taken, she was asked to pay £322 instead of £180. Being a few weeks pregnant, this behaviour caused her severe stress as we had a high-risk pregnancy. Needing the results asap to share with our doctor who was monitoring her pregnancy from overseas, she had no choice but to pay £144 more than what she was quoted on the phone. In the subsequent days we filed written complaints and requested reimbursement of the excess amount that was unfairly charged. The clinic refused to take accountability for their mistakes and misinformation, did not reimburse us and instead suggested that they would “…offset some of the money paid … towards your membership joining fee” which is an outrageous and insensitive suggestion on their end to make us whole on the condition we joined them as members. They didn’t even have the decency to apologise for their mistakes. Unfortunately, it is impossible to complain to a 3rd party body as they are not registered with the likes of the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service. We have recommended everyone we know to avoid them as they are insensitive, unprofessional and cannot be trusted on health matters.

This is by far the worst service I have ever experienced in my life - I reckon 1 star is way too much, but it didn't allow me to put 0.

There is no understanding or flexibility in terms of membership due to COVID and personal reasons.I have raised the issue of rude staff on numerous occasions, just unpleasant service in Clapham Junction and Wandsworth - to name a few Ophelia, Nicky. Almost felt as if you don't belong there or not allowed to ask any questions, tried to charge you for vaccine you were invited as a complimentary welcome pack.

When raised the issue that I was on furlough and not living in the area anymore met with no flexibility in terms of cancelling the membership. I am no longer living in south London, I won't be travelling just to get an appointment with doctor to tell me that actually I need to see specialist anyway. I'd rather pay a specialist straight away.

After numerous emails with Goldie Yere, Mr Eddie Parker I had to suggest that because I am not in the country at the time maybe we could put the membership on hold since I cannot even use the service, they wouldn't even be able to come up with that themselves.

This is definitely not a 5 star service and not worth the money - please really stay away. They will invite you for a free vaccine, but at the end of the visit will still ask you to pay. The communications between members of the team is very poor.

Just simply a joke.
