Absolutely dreadful experience calling for an appointment this morning. It was for my wife and she was on speaker so I heard everything. The receptionist was frankly rude and very condescending to my wife and especially to her issues. Something she has been dealing with for years and then simply told it is not "urgent". Then given a phone appointment for 2 weeks from now. Perhaps they should follow their long winded and frankly out of date automated message at the beginning of the call and offer some customer service training to their team. No empathy shown whatsoever, absolutely disgusting for medical practitioners staff.

Always had great experiences here. Yes sometimes you have to wait on the phone but call a few mins before it opens and you will be at the front. Drs are all lovely, found them very welcoming after moving here from a different area. I Would recommend this surgery.

Doesn't take appointment online at the moment.
I called for an appointment: I was second in the queue and it still took 30min to talk to somebody. Agent told me skin issues need to be shown to a pharmacist first. I can't imagine how someone vulnerable can go through this process.

I understand the situation is difficult at the moment but more information on the online booking platform would save time for both the patients and the phone operators

I rarely write reviews and even less frequently visit a Dr. I’ve not been registered with a Dr for years, possibly a decade but recently registered after girlfriend pressure. Glad I did.

I developed pain in my head, eyes and face. After 5 days ignoring, I eventually called and asked for a call back.

1) receptionist was super helpful and triaged, to understand if it needed an appointment. She was sufficiently concerned so arranged a call back.

2) Dr called within an hour. Talked through symptoms patiently and asked for photos.

3) Dr reviewed photos and called back within 30 mins. Two possible diagnoses so prescribed what might help one and cause no issues with the other and arranged an appointment next day morning

4) I turned up 30 mins late due to confusion about appointment time but reshuffled for me and after 15 min wait, Dr saw me.

5) Dr was super clear about diagnosis, cause and prescriptions needed and also checked me over generally given my infrequent Dr assessments

All in all - a wonderful surprise given all the negative things I hear and see about access to GP help

The doctors that I spoke to, Dr Ho and Dr Hamilton, were very nice and helpful.
However last year I had a very bad experience with a receptionist who was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I was sent an unsigned sick note and asked by the Department of Work and Pensions to get a signed one. I had to get it quickly or could have lost benefit. I phoned the surgery to ask for this and first the receptionist insisted that it didn't have to be signed. Then she agreed that it did but said that it had to be signed by the same doctor who issued the note, and she wouldn't be in for two days. I said that that wasn't true but she didn't take any notice. I had to phone the DWP to tell them that the sick note might be late, and as this was during the pandemic I had to wait for two hours before I got through. Eventually I received a signed note, from a different doctor than the one who signed it initially.

Pretty useless. Calling them midweek and there's an 18-person queue to speak with reception. Nothing is possible online - everything is manual. They even stopped sending text reminders as "the system broke". Doctors have always been good but the administration is useless and extreneky inefficient.

Honestly I don’t write reviews but I have to say the manager is so rude, countless times they make you feel like you are a nuisance and they are ready for an argument. I don’t know her name but she was awful. Dr Hamilton is great and so are the other doctors but the receptionists and manager make you want to leave
