Shocking healthcare service and this surgery is probably below that standard. The reception staff is so rude - could do with a full immersion in a customer care training.

Episode (one of the many) - I go the doc for my girl, the doctor checks and tells me to get some drops from the chemist.
I ask if a prescription was to be issued and they told me it was fine to just pop to the chemist.

I go to the pharmacy only to be told I needed a prescription or I would have had to pay 15 pounds. Out of principal I phoned the surgery back asking for it and basically this lady started to say: “ are you actually telling me you can’t afford to pay 15pound for your child’s meds?” Absolutely out of order - what do they know about me and how much I can spend? How dare…
To this rather unpleasant lady I replied that I was fortunate enough to be able to pay for it but some would not and I could have been one of the less fortunate ones. Bottom line is that I should have not paid for my 5 year old girl’s medicine - and they should have issued a prescription for it. No words!

Today, wasted journey to the chemist where I was told my prescription was going to be sent. No prescriptions have been sent after nearly 2 hours from my phone call with the doc.

Goodness help us.

Appointments always available same day. Usually with the doctor of your choice. It’s so good the way they hold back so many spots for the same day. You simply have to call up at 8am on the dot and wait. Then tell them your name, date of bith, what’s wrong and who you normally see and you will get a phone call back the swme day. If you need a face to face appt they’ll then organise it again same day if needed. By usually seeing the same doc my complex medical needs are managed much more efficiently and with compassion. The receptionists also are cheerful and helpful. Yes we could do wirh more doctors and yes the nhs is overloaded but this surgery is a gem doing their very best to help us.

Very happy with this surgery. Friendly reception ladies, and all my experiences with the doctors (thou not many)have always been helpful and kind.

If you are thinking of joining this practice - DO NOT! The reception staff well one in particular an elderly woman with gray hair and glasses is overwhelmingly rude and lacks any type of empathy. I do not understand how people like this can be hired in a professional setting, especially at a GP's practice. I feel awful for all the patients who come across this woman. Please if you can avoid at all costs. The sooner this woman retiresthebetter. I am making a formal complaint against the surgery.

The service received is unbelievably bad. My 14 weeks pregnant girlfriend has been trying to book an appointment for two days. Day one we were unaware the only way to get an appointment is to call in at 8am and hopefully get a slot for that day. This resulted on being on hold forever and told to call back the next day. Day 2, managed to speak to someone and explained she had on going flu for 3 weeks and still coughing , sneezing and re explained about being pregnant, this was not met with an appointment but a empty promise stating a doctor would phone her, this never happened but we did receive a lovely text explaining an attempted call at 11.57am. Too confirm this never happened. Therefore we are heading into day 3 and zero help or understanding on how important in seeing or even speaking to an actual doctor is. I am completely lost for words to explain our frustrations and bewilderment by the service given and the complete lack of consideration by this broken system.

I'm sorry but the receptionists all need to go. They spend more time chatting nonsense among themselves then they do doing their jobs. I've never met a bunch more lazy with no work ethic.

There's a reason this place has such bad reviews and they all mention the receptionists.

My young daughter a uni student living on her own phoned the surgery as has been poorly for several days was spoken to extremely r rudely by a receptionist and advised to try to phone again tomorrow as apparently no doctors at the surgery even though it doesn’t close till 6.30 pm !! She was extremely upset just think possibly a bit of compassion and kindness would not go a miss

Do not recommend at all!! Constantly having to wait at least and hour an a half to even speak to reception. They once told me I had to wait 3 weeks to hear back for some important results. One lady from reception is also rude. Consider another doctor before registering here.
