Gem of Kent

Amazing choice. his is definitely the gem of all Turkish restaurants I’ve visited on my travels in the UK. The entrance is grand, decorated in Turkish emblems. It is bright and managed by belt and braced, humble and relaxed staff. The restaurant is huge and extends deeply past the kitchen and Turkish themed seating areas.
The menu offers loads of choice, with great options for couples and groups. I went slightly off piste and ordered a few hot and cold mezzes, main and dessert. Take note of the staff’s recommendations; the ox tongue starter and lamb shank main were sumptuous. The latter was taken to another level of taste satisfaction with the addition of their chilli based sauce.
Full and content I’d happily return and try some of the other great choices the Gem of Kent has to offer.

One of my most favourite restaurants in Maidstone! My pictures do not do the food justice. Gem of Kent is great for big groups as they have loads of space! There are many choices on the menu, everyone will find something to their liking! Have been here four times and will come back many many more times!!

I ordered from here 4 days in a roll. Everything I’ve ordered was excellent. The lamb is so tender and flavorful. Aubergine dish was sooo delicious. There is no holes on the menu.

I have been visiting this restaurant for over four years. The service on my last two visits was nothing but disgusting. The same waiter was rude and pretty much through the plates on the table. The food was ok but it used to be much better. I will not be returning.

I had food today from this place by Uber Eats and it was great 👍 it arrived within half hour, I had Sucuk, Cacik, Pembe Sultan, Kuzu Corba, Humus and Incik everything was made very nicely and tasted good. Couldn't fault them! Good Mediterranean takeaway 👌

Lovely food, good service but really loud once the big Christmas groups arrived. We skipped dessert for that reason. Probably not such an issue most of the time
