Absolutely useless, pass you around and can't offer any support about anything even if someone is suicidal. They cancel appointments, forget patients when they're meant to phone them and if they ever rearrange it's weeks away. Private support even got recommended at one stage. Patients have to wait weeks for support to be told there's nothing they can do. They make individuals feel unimportant and abandoned and I feel like they forget they're actually working with at risk individuals who are relying on them as a last resort. I have never been more disappointed and angry towards an NHS service, they should be ashamed of themselves if they claim to help people. Even if there is a problem with funding it is no excuse to leave people in crisis.

I will have to keep this comment very brief but I would like to say about this place. It is locking people such as myself up with no actual mental health problems whatsoever.

I have been discredited on my medical notes as a person suffering from a serious mental health condition. My notes are full of inaccurate information. This means libel and slanderous accusations about my character. I wish the staff would come forward and report this hospital.

I have no doubts that they will try and delete this comment. They must be held accountable for forcing Anti Psychotic drugs on me and which could have seriously affected my health. Because of the side affects as they are very strong drugs. I had the full capacity to refuse them at the time. I am writing a book about this place to tell my story. And maybe I can help others like myself who have wrongly been labelled under the Mental Health Act.

These people who run this practice really should be in jail. I am now planning to sue them. It has taken me sometime to come out about my dreadful experience. I have nothing wrong with my insight or am I mentally ill and have always seen things very clearly.

They do not listen to their patients or even ask them questions. So how do they know what is really going on with people or how they feel. To them it just a job.

My mum was a patient here from July 2020 until she died of covid in January 2021, i found the staff to be incredibly helpful, never too busy to answer questions, I was never made to feel like a nuisance even though I was ringing every day, I knew mum was safe and being well cared for, visiting was difficult due to covid, but the unit did what they could to allow visitors, I can't fault the care that mum had, she was going through a very dark time, but I always felt she was in the right place getting the correct care, I for one, can't thank the staff enough

There are some amazing support staff, but are some are absolutely disgusting and made my conditions worse. The doctors and one HCA should be ashamed of themselves how they treat patients less than human. I have an array of PALS complaints processing with my CPN. There are lovely staff too, but I do not advise being admitted to this place unless you’re forced under section.

Absolutely diabolical. I now suffer with PTSD due to the way I was treated after losing my father. No questions were asked to me about why I had been admitted pr what I felt was wrong with me or what led to my section. I was labelled bipolar due to assumed behaviours when actually I was terrified of where I was being taken in a vunerable state and lack of communication by NHS staff and mental health staff contributed to about 10 years of social anxiety due to how I was treated here. I was scrubbed down in a shower accused of having nits with no warning. Another patient had come into my room, stolen my jewellery, had swapped my urine sample and written "Jesus" on my window. I told staff and they laughed and said I must be mistaken. None of my problems were taken seriously. Really if you have mental health problems then please never rely on places like this to help you!

I can't believe this place is still open.
I was treated like a second class citizen and sent home to early.
I ended up back in another one after nearly dying

I went to see a friend today who is currently staying at Amblescroft South. I was really surprised with the previous negative reviews left by others. The staff I've met were all amazing, very caring and helpful. My friend told me that everyone is polite, professional and respectful. She feels safe and well cared for. Thank you!

Also, I would love to get a job as a HCA there at some point in the future, that would be amazing.
