Coachbuilt

Terrible experience. They managed to ruin both our old caravan (for sale with them ) and the New one being disabled converted. The wrong door fitted and in the wrong position. A really heartbreaking experience. The Directors are a disgrace and disingenuous. They are not a swift approved dealership nor approved by anyone. All our suggestions to resolve the issue were ignored by them. The written spec we provided was completely ignored. The product they gave us would not allow us to use the van at all let alone get the wheelchair in. We are still struggling to get our money back so do not under any circumstances pay the exorbitant deposit, and better still use a different converter coachbuilder as we have now done at nearly half the price. That included detailed and dimensioned drawings and a consultation with an occupational therapist to ensure it would ( and it does! ) work. Coachbuilt GB are not trustworthy.

Steer well clear of this company. Too many complaints to itemize but in short we received terrible service from Coachbuild and found them untrustworthy.

Awful. As an immediate example of dishonesty, there are five star reviews here left by directors of the company, including Kate Birch. To predict their reply is easy, rather than be helpful, attack is their method of defence. They will say that I didn't follow their terms and conditions when in fact I wasn't given any terms and conditions (I am meticulous with paperwork and have kept their documents in a file). Additionally, they will say that they had no knowledge of the issue with the exhaust system, yet their company, Coachbuilt GB, was responsible for the work carried out....
Our motorhome was converted by them in 2019. Immediate problem was they removed part of the exhaust to install the lift and left the cut off pipe. The motorhome was excessively noisy due to this and would not have passed an MOT. As I live too far away from them to economically return it (plus we had a holiday deadline), I had a specialist exhaust company make me an extra silencer box. Now, three years later, we have a major problem and like a previous reviewer here, have found the directors to be completely unhelpful and doing anything they can not to accept responsibility.
We have discovered that the door they supplied and fitted was not sealed effectively and has warped. This has allowed water ingress to completely soak the floor under the "lino". We discovered this after we got a habitation check carried out. Their work looks glossy on the surface, but IMHO, they are not engineers and are not competent. I would not trust them again.

Always really friendly and nothing is ever too big for them to accomodate.. whatever the customer requests.. within reason they will find the best solution to imorove their mobile home/camper or luxury caravan. Great staff .
