Copied from my review on the Little removals Company google profile:

LRC contacted me after several weeks and resolved the issue satisfactorily. The response below states they tried to contact me several times, I have no evidence of this and had asked to be contacted in writing which they did not. In the end a lady rang me as a courtesy, agreed to a partial refund and agreed my complaints were valid. As and when the response below is corrected to reflect this I'll edit this review again.

An otherwise perfect move, marred by a bitter tasting pill at the end. Buyer beware. I moved from Crawley to Gloucester. 4 bedroom detached house. The company quoted two guys in one van for packing and then, for the following day, five guys in three vans for the actual move. Everything about the process was outstanding - they were bang on time both days, incredibly warm and easy-going, yet utterly professional, and worked quickly, efficiently and very hard. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys. I was deeply impressed, and actually missed their company after they left, they were that pleasant to have around. Made my packing and move a total and utter joy and for this I could not recommend them highly enough. The company was good value for money, too. However, there was a snag that, regrettably, left a bitter taste in my mouth. As I say, my move was from Crawley to Gloucester. The depots this company holds are in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Stroud and Swindon. So the vans would have presumably come from one of these depots. If you enter the route of Crawley to Gloucester, or Gloucester to Crawley, into Google Maps (or any Satnav), there is one thing you will definitely NEVER see - a route that takes you through the ULEZ / Congestion charge zone in Central London. So you can imagine my shock when I received a receipt for £110 having been debited from my card for congestion charge and ULEZ fees. It makes no sense. The lads were all local to the company (I asked them, and in any event, their accents were clearly local) which makes perfect sense for the work they do and the company they work for. So why on earth would all of the vans needed to have driven through Central London on both days? It is a mystery to me, and remains so - when I asked where the vans left from, the company wouldn't tell me. Instead, when I said I would initiate a chargeback with my credit card company, as no driver in their right mind would route themselves through central London if driving between Crawley and Gloucester, they simply say that it's their right to choose the route, not mine, so tough luck, deal with it. I demanded proof that they'd gone through it, and I was sent a receipt, so it appears they really did. The question then remains - why? The only thing I can think of is that they had another job somewhere north of London, and to minimise their own fuel expenses and wear and tear, took the shorter (but just as long, if not longer) route through Central London to get to Crawley, knowing that their customers would have to pick up the tab for the charges, and pay them extra if it took them longer to complete the journey. Unfortunately, it left a deeply bitter taste in my mouth, as I feel cheated - nobody in their right mind would drive through the ULEZ zone to go from Crawley to Gloucester, and since they wouldn't tell me where the vans came from, I am left to conclude that I am right. Such a shame, as the lads themselves, performing the move, were world class - this review, and the five stars, are for them, not the people running things from the comfort of an office, hiding behind simple, but unfair, terms and conditions, that result in such nonsense as driving through Central London in order to go from Gloucester to Crawley, or vice versa. Disappointing end to an otherwise fantastic service. This review is for you, lads, not your bosses.
