Mcgregors removals Portsmouth

After being let down by another company McGregors moved our 3 bed house with less than a days notice. I would highly recommend them. Friendly, hard-working guys, fantastic price (especially at such short notice) and all our items were taken good care of. I'm not planning on moving any time soon but if I were I would hire them again :)

I would like to say a huge thank you to Mcgregors movers for taking our kit to Guide camp last week. We were stuck for a lift 2 weeks before we were due to go and these guys offered to do the job extremely reasonably. They were very polite and friendly and I am very sorry if we made you late for your next appointment. we really did appreciate the efforts you made.

An hour late, then rushed so much at the end that our belongings were dumped in our new front room for us to move, also left my bedroom chairs outside in the rain. Left 2 items of furniture they had in their van outside my old house.... Had extra money for bringing our summer house which they didn't do, they were sorting it out for 2 days later... well the guy never answers his phone now if I ring so we didn't get our summer house or our extra money back so far! They were a bit cheaper than other quotes but have turned out way more expensive and left loads for us to move ourselves! Never again!

We have worked alongside McGregors Removals on a number of occasions. The guys work tirelessly throughout the job and have a highly positive and professional approach to their work. Highly Recommended!

Danny, Russell and Harry were ABSOLUTELY FIRST CLASS in giving me a very smooth move. Nothing was too much trouble - they were, frankly, brilliant! Don't waste time looking for more competitive pricing elsewhere locally if you're looking to do a house move - I think these guys rate as the best! I'll be using them again when I've sold my house in Cambridge, for sure.

We contracted McGregors to complete our move and paid 50% of the invoice upon receipt. After the first time the boxes were due to be delivered he dropped all communications with us and did not return calls or texts. Eventually my husband got in touch with him (from a different number) and he assured my husband boxes would be with us that evening. They were not. Eventually he offered us a refund which we accepted however like the boxes that did not arrive.

Instead at additional stress and expense we had to find alternative movers and had a CCJ issued against McGregors as following a small claims they did not respond or pay.

Avoid at all costs.

Charged me VAT on all invoices and they are not VAT registered .... ruined some of my furniture.. did not use proper storage facilities in Portsmouth prior to move over to Spain. Clearly do not have any insurance as when I demanded compensation he said he could not afford the amount I asked for.. when I asked him for name of insurance company he would not answer.... threatened him that if he did not pay me I would report him to VAT .. used my 3 in 1 microwave
... when I received it it was covered in thick white fat with bits of meat..inside was a book entitled Chinese cooking for the microwave... DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
