I was moving overseas for my work. Already apprehensive I was offered advice from the get go from Simpsons, they were friendly and offered me tips on what to take and what to leave as I’m a bit of a hoarder so there was a lot to go through! I took everything I needed and I was pleased with their customer services and packing team. Thanks again

I used this removals company for our move from UK to UAE on the recommendation of a friend who had used them a few years ago. Unfortunately, our experience has been very disappointing and checking reviews on trustpilot now reveals that the service has gone downhill in the last couple of years, John is an excellent salesman and made me very comfortable but unfortunately it has been nothing than a smart sales pitch. On the day of the move, I did not even receive a call from John despite being assured that we will receive calls to check the progress of the move. I was naive to fall into the trap of paying by online transfer rather than using a credit card on the pretext of working from home due to Covid. Quite a few of our items were damaged and a box went missing. The insurance company they use is third party and a complete con company. I was not informed that this is a third-party that they will be using. It has been almost 8 months and the claim has not been processed, there are just back and forth emails asking us to prove the cost of items in the claim. I definitely recommend not to use this company anymore though it seems they were a good and reputable company in the past!

LESS THAN 1STAR. Move from UK to S France. Crew were 1 day late and on the day of moving, said wanted to deliver 2 days earlier than arranged, on a Sunday. Two vans, 1 of crew couldn’t lift because of bad back. Had to get further help to lift heavy items. All crew were Romanian, English language very poor. Many things damaged. Everything just thrown in the garage. No customs agent and didn’t declare car or goods with Douane’s. Despite many calls and emails no constructive help and was blanked by company when I asked for help with insurance claim and Cerfa 170070. Goods and car now being regarded by Douane’s as illegal and likely to get a fine. Simpsons were a disaster from start to finish and I strongly advice not to go anywhere near them. They should be banned if that was possible.

We moved from UK to Austria for work. Simpsons packing crew did a really good job. Special thanks to John, my move manager was very helpful and responsive to my questions.

NIGHTMARE
Having had initial conversations with Adam regarding our move, we decided to go with Simpsons, what massive this mistake this was.
We sent 42 images of every item that was to be collected and moved into storage, more conservations with Adam who assured us that transport would be provided with 10% extra capacity for our possessions at a quote of £700.00. When the vehicle arrived on the day, we could easily see that it would not be large enough, which was also confirmed by the driver. We then had to have an additional van at the cost of £1000.00 to ourselves. When we arrived at our storage unit, the unloading stopped, then a phone call from Fletcher demanding a further £570.00 to complete the unloading holding our possessions as ransom. The total coming to £2270.
Professionals they are not, They hold you to ransom and take advantage to extort money from you without any compassion, driven by greed, cowboy outfit.

We found Simpsons International removals to be friendly, professional and reliable. We moved from London to Italy and were very happy with the service.

Excellent job. Quote was very reasonable and actually came in under budget which was a pleasant surprise. All items arrived undamaged.

Total nightmare!

They change the date of delivery several times. Throughout the day the driver keep telling me “in one hour” at the end part of our belongings arrived at at midnight, just one guy: my husband and I needed to do almost al the job. I hired the service of dismantle at origin and assemble at destiny.
No body at the office helps you, they ignore your all your messages.
The driver was so rude all the time and when I asked for help to the UK office, all they can said (when I managed to contact them from another mobile number) was: “so sorry… my hands are tight”.

There is lot more to tell but I can summarize it as aTerrible Terrible experience.

I have moved countries several times: this was by far the worst and stressful situation.
