Good until something goes wrong, and attempts to extract more money.

Swans were great to begin with - competitive quote, very responsive, arrived on time. The guys who then did the packing and moving were also very nice and professional. However, sadly they lost a piece of a very expensive desk, which now means it is unusable. When we tried to claim this under our contract with them (where they agree to £50,000 insurance), they refuse because the removals men had no memory of this piece of our desk (which basically means they accept no liability as they will say they have no memory of anything) and because we had dismantled it (despite them no offering a service to dismantle anything but the beds). Their emails on this point were incredibly rude.

On top of that, after the move, they sent invoices for amount where they tried to charge twice for delayed keys as a "delayed keys" item and an "additional time" item, despite having no right to do so under the contract. Thankfully we were alive to this and they quickly backed down when we pointed that the contract gave them no right to most of this money.

So in summary, great if you want a cheap move, but you are likely to find hidden expenses creep in and you just have to really hope that nothing goes wrong (because you will get nothing from this firm).

We moved last week using Swans and the experience was brilliant from start to finish. Communication amongst each other was fantastic and everything was packed efficiently.

I have nothing but great things to say about the guys who helped us move. They were so nice, and the speed at which they worked really impressed us.
