The Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell

A lovely and well-kept museum in the centre of Norwich!

We visited on a Saturday morning and had a great time exploring the space, reading the materials, watching the TV programmes and playing with all the little games for children! I was surprised by the dimensions of the place - you would never tell from the outside but the museum develops over two floors! The little chemist section was particularly intriguing!

Overall, lovely experience! I'd definitely recommend visiting, especially if you have kids with you! ☺️

I have lived in Norwich for a long time but hadn’t got round to visiting this gem of a museum until recently. It’s full of interesting exhibits and information about Norwich as well as the history of the Bridewell itself. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn more about Norwich’s history

We got complimentary tickets when we bought the tickets to the castle. Was a very interesting museum as they showed many aspects of the life from the old times from hundreds years ago to recent years. Worth a visit.

For children over 6 learn about Norwich ,my daughter and had a lovely time

Great museum that is a hidden gem ! Loads of information about Norwich and Norfolk with lots of interesting items and stories. Pro tip - look in the drawers for loads more items
