I really like Stevenage Museum. It's quite small and only takes an hour to look around if you read everything fully, but it's informative and interesting. They do good kids' birthday parties too!

Went to a craft activity, the staff were very friendly & understanding as my son has additional needs. The museum itself is laid out well and user friendly but a few things weren't working that was a shame.

Small but well designed museum. Good selection of artifacts from the palaeolithic to the present day and everything inbetween, even a natural history display too. I visited with my two young daughters who were entertained by the many activity sheets and interactive stations along the way, items of clothes to try on, a mosaic to create, rubbings to have a go at, buttons to press etc, all went down well with them. The two members of staff we met were lovely too. We'll worth a visit.

Not a brief history of Stevenage, but also once had an exhibition on dinosaurs. Entry is free. The museum itself is a little dated, but you can find out of amazing local facts. You could easily spend an hour in here if you had an interest in the area. Some odd displays, some areas rather dusty, but the museum does change up its exhibitions regularly. The museum also hosts events/classes and is in a convenient location if walking.

There is everything of interest of Stevenage and the local area. Lovely people to tell you anything you want to know extra to the good information supplied in writing form and small films
. Also throughout the school holidays and many Saturdays in term time there are special interest events run for children.

A highly underrated place. From wildlife and ancient times to present, it offers a great time-journey of the Stevenage area with a lot of interactive features as well as movies.
Staff is really friendly and it is admission free.

A beautifully experience . Knowledgeable staff who made the tour enjoyable. The afternoon tea was one of best I've ever had. Freshly baked cakes. I requested no butter and that's what I got. Well done everyone.
