A very small museum telling and showing the history of the Royal Hampshire Regiment from its time as the Hampshire Militia, through the two World Wars up to amalgamation with the Queen's Regiment to become the PWRR.

Very informative, and it's also free entry.

Small but very interesting regimental museum with lots of fascinating stories, and free to go in too! Curator very helpful with a question I had as well.

I really enjoyed this place, it's not the biggest and won't take you ages to get round but they have some really cool stuff and lots to learn. They also have a couple of interactive hide and seek tasks which are rewarded with a prize. A very enjoyable time.

This small but fascinating museum is testament to the love and attachment of our veterans to their unit. The Royal Hampshire Regt, merged into the Princess of Wales Regt in 1992, has a long and distinguished history, beautifully illustrated by the items on display and by the abundant commentary offered through panels, labels and the volunteers guiding you though (often themselves veterans of the regiment!). The lovely tended garden is used as a place for remembrance and memorial functions

I was waiting for new tyres on my car and saw nearly next door was Royal Hampshire Regiment Museum. I popped in. Only small but really interesting, I could spend the best part of a day in there I think. I'll be back again to continue.
My rear tyres need changing soon! 😁

We absolutely loved this museum. There is so much to see and read and it is so personal because it is from the area.
