Went to Milestones with the family, including 2 children and 4 adults during half term.
What an amazing place.
We paid £16 each for entry but it gives you an annual pass for a year.
There was plenty for the children to do, and they had put on lots of games that kept the two kids occupied for 5 hours.
The adults in the group also enjoyed the games but got chance to actually look at the living museum too.
One thing everyone loves and is a nice addition is the sweet shop, buy a ration card and then you can use it to get some sweeties.
It has a working pub (with regulars too) and a nice little cafe.
We'll be going back soon in term time just with the wife to explore the museum.

Lovely heritage museum. Lots to see and enjoy. Allow 2 to 4 hours for your visit depending upon how much you want to dwell and reminisce. Especially if you use the free Audio Guides - we spent 4 hours and skipped some of the Audio Guide sections. Don't miss the sweet shop that sells old style sweets or the pub for a pint, which opens at lunchtime. There's a nice café over looking the museum streets. It does hot lunches as well as tea, coffee and cakes. Also there's a well stocked gift shop - good for old fashioned gifts. All good. 😎 👍

I could spend all day here, doesn't look very big when you go in but it is like the tardis! The man at the counter when we went in was great, really enthusiastic & had great customer service. The exhibits are really good,as you wander around the streets you can pop into the sweet shop with your ration book & even get a drink in the pub! Definitely recommend this to people of any age.

I'm probably being harsh giving 3 stars since I did enjoy my visit, however, everything was not quite so interactive for kids 2-8 as the website had seemingly implied. Especially as there was only one bus which you were allowed to get on while the website video seemed to advertise more, my two year old was dying to get on everything! I definitely think there is a missed opportunity to make things more interactive and kid friendly, and/or provide a bigger kids play space as the area next to the cafe was tiny (it was closed on my visit as well!). Parents would be visiting in troves to entertain the kids on rainy days if there was some tweaks to various equipment/vehicles and displays. Overall, enjoyable day out but some improvements could be made.

I am advising here especially rainy days. We have been there all Sunday until close time. This museum explains lots of things about English culture and history. We spent really good time in gameplay area. Don’t forget to buy your historical candy. There has many activities go kids. Just cafe was little small, we waited long line

For the price you pay to the fact its a year's ticket and lots of fun I have to say its worth a visit. The only reason I won't give it a 5* is that I wish it had more real life actors/volunteers in the place. To liven it up more and make it more a living museum than just wax works.

It has an approachable arcade full of games and fun for all ages as well as tid bits of information laying around the place. Which, is fun for everyone!

What a 'find'. Super museum with buildings/shops set up as they would have been in the victorian era...lots to see. Recommend getting the free audio tour aid as it tells you so much about the history of the buildings and the people that would have worked in them. Excellent for all ages. The attention to detail is brilliant...look out for the little sparrows in the saw mill, the cats fighting on the roof and pigeon!

Great museum overall. A unique place to visit with lots of things to see. The old vehicles and old street layouts were wonderful. The museum experience is great, although I only rate it 3/5 as I got stuck in the small lift with my partner and baby. The staff tried their best to help but i ended up having to pull the doors apart myself. We fot a free pot of tea for the trouble though.
