First time visit, easy to find and plenty of parking. Extremely helpful volunteers. Loads to look at. Worth a couple of hours visit and support.

A most excellent small museum. The staff are some of the most knowledgeable I have come across and are happy to either chat or leave you to browse. What stunned me was the heavier weapons collection. All matter of small arms and a superb heavy machine gun / support fire collection. If you're into weapons allow an hour. It's easy to find, easy to park, and all the main car parks are just down the way if you combine it with a visit to Bury.

Minden Day. Really enjoyed our visit. The Curator was entertaining and knowledgeable. Added greatly to the experience. Such a shame that so many of our Great, and proud Line Regiments, were axed. Never more to answer their country's call.
Thanks.

Free museum and the curator is most informative. It is a very small museum. Paul, the curator has been a great help to many members of our family history group concerning our ancestors in both the first and second world wars.

Great museum, with amazing amount of memorabilia. Volunteers were great and had an incredible knowledge. Superb place to take children my 10 year old Granddaughter was enthralled and my 3 year old Grandson enraptured by the toy soldiers, guns and sword. Fabulous time had by all, Especially my husband who's Father was in the Suffolk regiment and was based there. 👍

What a great little piece of history this place is. We were greeted immediately at the door and the gentleman talked us through various items downstairs and was just so pleasant to talk to. It is full of personal artifacts that really make the place a treasure. All volunteers and staff seem to go above and beyond to welcome people into the museum and are so full of knowledge. We can't wait to bring family and friends! Thank you!

A truly amazing museum. Me and my wife was stuck for something to do today so paid a visit and we wasn't disappointed. Having done alot of war museums over the years, I was thoroughly impressed with this one. This one carries a real sense of personal feeling to it. You don't just feel like you are looking at an example of something, but someone's actual item. Alot of the items have been donated by former members of the regiments, and you really get that feeling come through. The staff are wonderful and could spend hours listening and talking to them. Brilliantly inciteful and have a real pride in their work. Whilst it is not a huge museum, it certainly is very well filled. I would thoroughly recommend taking the time out of your day to visit.
