This is a great museum, Well worth a fiver to get in, remember it's run by volunteers, so every penny they raise goes to keeping the history of this Airfield alive !!! Great Aircraft to view, from the Iconic F4 phantom, to the only A10 "WartHog" on display at a private museum. The main museum is really interesting with plenty of artifacts to view , inc a "Real" Alien :-)
The Staff ( Volunteers ) are very friendly, and don't bite, ( even if poked ) so ask plenty of questions, I did and learnt a lot. All in All a cracking place to visit !!! Keep up the good work all :-)

Fascinating museum covering decades of USAAF ops at 2 ex-RAF bases. A must for any student of the Cold War years, or child of the 60s/70s, growing up with nuclear fear and Nato/Warsaw Pact Airfix kits. Lt Bob Hale is on duty to give you the background as you enter.

What a fascinating place to visit. As an ex-ROC member, this was a great insight into how the US prepared for the Cold War and what actions they took.

Didn't think this would be "my cup of tea" as not normally into much to do with war or the military but accompanied a friend who is interested.
I was pleasantly surprised as I found it far more interesting than expected.
I've never been up close to fighter jets before - amazing machines!
Learnt a lot about the era I was brought up in too & was surprised at the changes the base at Bentwater & others made to our country. The work they did there helped keep us all safe & we never even knew!
Fair play to all the volunteers who keep the museum going - thank you for your efforts & for keeping the past alive.
