Lovely morning out, we picked a good day as they had a fair on with an old car display along with a local RC flying club had a display of model planes amongst other displays and food stalls . The lovely weather helped.

Very easy to find and plenty of parking. The chaps (volunteers?) are friendly and full of information and stories. Plenty of things to look at as it is an old RAF and USAAF site.

The Control Tower is very well preserved & can always be appreciated from outside, even when closed. Unfortunately, because of development of the rest of what was the airfield, it's setting has lost its context. Nonetheless, it's good to see that this historically important main building still remains in-situ...
