Lovely museum, quiet, lots of history to see. Audio listenings available too with or without headphones. Staff are lovely too and there's a small cafe available with drinks & cakes.

Excellent hands on way to delve into our recent 19th and 20th century history. Fascinating experience. My third time to visit. Amazing, down to working gas lights.

Fantastic morning out. Very interesting place with lots of information presented in a way sure to engage children and adults alike. Vegan milk options available together with a beautiful garden to wait in if you are travelling with your dog.

Visiting the lovely town of Presteigne I took a wrong turn and came across this fabulous museum/ souvenir shop/ pop-up tea room. An amazing place, all run by volunteers. The tea room is incredible, set in the judges study. An ideal place to relax, enjoy artisan teas and coffees - try the Judges Blend coffee, it's like no other coffee you've tried. Best of all are the cakes, just like home made, with no portion control..... The prices are unbelievably low, the staff are so kind and friendly. I'd recommend getting lost in Presteigne any day, just to find and experience this amazing place.

Very interesting and informative. Was given an audio guide with poeple speaking as though they were a servant etc. Original items displayed throughout the building, since it had all been stored in the attic after the building was no longer used. Actual oil lamps and gas lighting were lit. You could smell the oil burning You really got an idea of how it all must have been. Excellent that it was free entry too. There was also information about some of the cases that came before the court and what travel was like before the advent of the railways (this, given in the audio guide) . One of the best places I've visited.

A fascinating place to visit. The judges lodgings for their quarterly sessions. It is extremely well presented, with no electricity in the judge's accommodation, and gas lighting in the basement for the kitchen, servants hall and cells. At the end of the visit you find yourself in the dock!

A really great visit the staff are super friendly there to . The place is just how it would of been 100 plus years ago and the Audio tour that is included is very well done . Don't forget to stop at the tea shop and try some of there own brews of coffee and cake
