Nice little place with history to visit when in Barmouth. Ty Crwn was the old lock-up for drunks and petty offenders. Not far from the beach front and a sightseeing will take no more than 15 minutes. So, be warned and be on your best behaviour when you visit.

I've been to Barmouth numerous times over the past 25 years and ashamedly I've never ever noticed this little piece of history.

Located by the side of the car park, 3-5minute walk from the sea front.
This was a prison for local drunkards being disorderly.
It was built in 1834 until there was a new police office.
There are two divided rooms, one for men and one for women.
Free to view inside.
