Really interesting to explore, you can get right up close to the planes, theres no barriers blocking them off. Truly a fully explorative museum. Cafe has great food but the cafe closing times arent very well documented, arrived on time but the board displaying cafe times was smeared and no time was given.

What a fab place to visit! I took my father and my 5yr old and we all really enjoyed it. My son would've stayed there all day! Lots of aircrafts to look around and sit in.

Entry prices are very cheap and the staff were lovely.

It was a bit chilly inside so I'd suggest a jacket. There is a cafe there but we didn't use it as we had planned to go for good afterwards.

Toilets are available and are well maintained.

We did have trouble finding it initially as Google Maps took us to a different location (opposite side of the road)

Fantastic trip with my 11 year old son. Lots of planes to see and a couple of helicopters that my son could not believe were actually so big in real life! You can go inside most of the planes and/or sit in the cockpit with no extra charge. The exhibit rooms were great as well, informative and some really interesting things to see. Café was good, although we were too late for hot food so can't comment on that but we had a couple of cakes and drinks, the cakes were lovely. Small shop is fun, not a huge amount to buy but they do have loads of very interesting second hand books on aviation, very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Definitely going again.

We had a great afternoon out here. I love a museum where you can interact with the exhibits and so very much enjoyed being able to climb into the cockpits and fuselages of the planes and helicopters. The staff were an absolute delight as well. We were greeted warmly and staff around the exhibits were very knowledgeable - willing to answer questions and bring the stories behind the exhibits to life. As well as the aircraft, there is a diorama of a war time airfield, exhibitions with model aircraft and wartime artefacts, science puzzles to try to solve, a cafe and a gift shop. There is plenty of free parking. Definitely recommend a visit.

Perfect weekend day out! 3rd time there recently. The cafe have amazing chips and perfectly priced food. There are loads of planes, cockpits and engines to be there for hours. £7.50 for an adult and under 14s free. Very cool, volunteers are very engaging and have lots of knowledge and are happy to answer any questions. Overall, one of the best aviation museums in the UK! They have the first Airbus Super Guppy (predecessor to Beluga), 707, 747 cockpit and a 737-400 front fuselage! They also acquired a BAe 146 from the RAF (soon). Such a good museum and will be going there for years more to come! Welsh government rules are in place, masks, social distancing and fill in track and trace form.

I had a great experience here. I can't explain how nice it was, especially with all the volunteers. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and very keen to show you around. The kids had a great time and loved it all the more being able to get in and touch some of the aircraft. There was such a great selection of aircraft to see and explore, with much more planned in the future. There is a nice play area next to the cafe, kept the kids entertained whilst waiting for food. The cafe was great value and good food, for the price.
I wish SWAM all the best and can't wait to return in the near future. I can't recommend it enough, please give it a go, and if you need anymore persuading under 17's go free.
