Nothing like it anywhere. Only open a few times a year - well worth a walk up from Pontypool Park just for the view over New Inn - but extra special trip on a day you can go inside the grotto itself.

Beautiful spot but the grotto was closed. Next open Monday 27th August Bank Holiday 2018.

Great views from here. Newport and Bristol Channel to the South, Llandegfedd reservoir and beyond to the East.
The Grotto itself is fenced off but there is a park bench to rest weary legs and saviour the views of the beautiful countryside.

Not much to see if it is not open. It opens on certain. Holidays each year. Our children love seeing Santa there at Christmas. It is enclosed in fencing to prevent vandalism. Walk about a mile further to see the Folly.

Beautiful views, a steep climb but not far from Pontypool Park.

Right now everything is locked up, so you can't look inside. It's a lovely little spot to get to and benches to sit and take in the view.

Amazing place. Even it is closed. Lovely walk upto it from the New Inn side. Amazing views of South Torfaen, Newport, River Severn and even further. So peaceful. Just a really nice place to sit and chill for while. Nice to walk to The Folly after this by following the farmers track. Then walk down to St Cadocs then back to Pontypool.
