Lovely little place plenty of coffee shops and small shops, and the Museum is worth a look to. Lovely views to look out onto of Abergavenny if you go for a nice walk up there

Free museum in the castle grounds that holds various artifacts that have been found locally. There are exhibits from Neolithic, Roman, Medieval times. Getting a bit tired but worth a look if you are in the area. The castle itself is also worth a visit and is quite picturesque.

Well set out. The staff where really helpful, we had a disabled gentleman with us. We went to the gallery/display area. The staff opened the outside door to that area for access. All good stuff.

Nice small museum in a beautiful village located within the Abergavenny Castle. Surrounded by lots of GREEN, this museum is worth visiting.

Nice castle to visit with parking in a pay and display car park very nearby. Didn’t manage to visit the museum as it was closed at the time of our visit but there are some good information boards around to describe the castle site in both English and Welsh.

Lovely old castle that is being preserved well. A lot of history happened here. Close to town with lovely views of the Blorenge and Sugar loaf.

Lovely to walk around, very peaceful, not many people around. Museum is interesting, and free entry for both. Nice views, walked/cycled along Castle Meadows. Great place for picnic, walking dogs, seeing 🦋 the wildlife around you. Children were cooling off in river 🌅

Lovely sunny morning in Abergavenny this market day, Tuesday. Town teeming with visitors. (Word of warning. Failed to find a parking space in four carparks). Plenty to see in main shopping area with many interesting side streets to explore. Lots of places to eat, from takeaways to restaurants to hotels. Well worth a stroll in the surrounding countryside along the banks of the river Gavenny.
