On this day I was in the shop. I found that the person who wrote this review was very pushy. The owner of the shop was very polite and friendly towards the customer. The customer kept on asking different questions, to which the shop owner answered in a correct and professional way. It is obvious that you can not set up a violin for somebody to try and then resell it as brand new. Then the customer had the cheek to turn around and say that they could buy the in violin on the internet cheaper.
As for Harmony Music, I travel over 130 miles each way to do business with them, and I find them excellent in what they do and very professional.
In fact I will be traveling up to do more business with them in the next 2 weeks, and I can not wait to do this.
Harmony Music Ltd keep up the excellent work and all the best for the future.

The owner of the shop (Alan Ellis) is very aggressive. I wanted to buy a guitar strap to which Alan Ellis replied that my choice of strap was of an homosexual orientation. This shop has a music school which used to make their own unlicensed certificates known as Harmony Grades. They don't carry any UCAS points as they are unregulated qualifications (Harmony Grades) from an unlicensed exam board (Harmony Music). The owner is also very dominating and uses very pushy sales techniques and always shouts if you disagree with him as well as using strong language. Also, everything is about 30% more expensive than online such as GAK or Dawsons. Their teachers are not very experienced either and often waste time in the lessons. Roadhouse Music is much better with better instruments stocked, great service, and great prices.

Awful, awful customer service. I have felt ever so patronised by one of the ladies that works there. Very un-welcoming feeling if your not a classical musician.

Staff are friendly and helpful, despite other reviews. I personally wish I could work with them as they are lovely people and I love drumming

I've gone in they've unable to help with simple products like bass strings. Went to roadhouse instead.
