Our son enjoyed the lessons, but the end-of-term performance was very difficult for him. At age 5 he was expected to sing alone in front of an audience, while other year-groups at the school sang in pairs or more. The lyrics were also difficult for him to learn as they included long and unfamiliar words that he could not spell out with his reading level. He therefore couldn't be prompted to read the lyrics from a sheet. The iRock concept is excellent one and our son loves singing and performing, so we feel it is a shame that the coaching was not more age-appropriate.

My son has been with iRock for three months and is thoroughly enjoying himself. It's been a great way to introduce him to music without committing to an out of school time regular appointment. We particularly enjoy the fact there are regular concerts even though they're still learning the basics, it's great to see.

Excellent! Our 5 year old loves iRock. We do lessons at school, and summer holiday camps. Both most outstanding.

My son really enjoys being part of the band and learning to play the drums with the iRock team. He looks forward to his lesson every week and we really enjoyed watching him take part in his iRock concert. I believe this is really helping him with his confidence.

iRock has helped my son gain confidence in himself and he really enjoy the sessions. Dan his teacher is “funny, kind and encouraging”! Highly recommend.

My daughter joined iRock in Reception year and is really pleased to be back to it (now in Year 4). For me, iRock is about a lot more than music. It teaches children some really valuable life skills - confidence, self esteem and team work. It's also great fun and Mike is a fantastic teacher!

Cannot recommend iRock highly enough. As a teacher, I’ve seen my pupils enjoying their sessions and growing in confidence (not just musically but socially too) but this year I’ve seen what it has done for my 6 year old daughter. She has absolutely flourished and the high point of her week is a Tuesday because “IT’S iRock DAY!!!” She starts the count down to her next session from a Tuesday evening (“how many days....” from 4 hours after she had her last session!)

The instructors are delightful; so enthusiastic and so nurturing of the children’s confidence and talents.

I love the fact that the iRock ethos recognises that music isn’t just about notes on a page; the benefits of being part of a band and the way the children grow together as a group is just lovely to see.
