Hmv

One of the remaining HMV shops, it’s great for gifts and fun to browse. If you’re familiar with the brand, this is a good one, all on one floor. Has a big music and film selection, plus everything else you’d expect, including collectibles, sweets, clothing, graphic novels, vinyl, and loads more.

Has everything that a person interested in media would want. Music Films , technology. I wish they still did games but it was phased out ages ago. Physical media is less of a reason to buy over digital, but it's nice to look at what's new bow and again.

There's still a little magic about going into HMV but I don't buy music from there anymore, however, my daughter loves the Anime and Mandalorian products. *Warning £4 for a can of pop with an Anime character on it is something I didn't expect or the obsession with American 'candy'.

They have vinyl but that is a very expensive hobby rabbit hole to go down IMHO.

The staff have always been friendly.

Its been years since I've stepped foot in a hmv and were shocked how its changed over the years. For me it was a successful trip when you have a 13yr old who's mad on anime and hmv had plenty of it in stock. It was great to see some of products and services available.

Sells so much random stuff but the records are crazy expencive and mostly end up being dated from my experience but its still really fun to look around and find cool little gifts

Great store staff very helpful loads of videos and cd of all types . But found hardly any worship songs or gospel. Gospel had half a dozen it couldn't find any worship songs like Hillsong

Good sized store with a range of music and collectibles available. Much more vinyl for sale now.

A shadow of its former self. All branches are suffering the same fate.

They've become nursing homes to dying formats, with CDs, DVDs and, eventually, video games making way for digital downloads.

Shelves once full of music, TV and film are now populated by Japanese drinks and Funko figures.

It's natural trajectory is to become a strange cross between the parasitic American sweet shops that litter many high streets, and a Menkind store, eking a profit from teenagers spending their birthday money and grandparents of said teenagers panic-buying gifts at Christmas
