SJ nail salon

Every experience I have here is such a positive one ! Staff are so kind and friendly, they are extremely hygenic and everytime, I leave with beautiful nails !! I felt extremely safe and comfortable given the current situation thanks to the precautions they had provided. SJ certainly does the best nails in Borehamwood and beyond - cannot reccommend them enough :)

I travelled 25 miles to visit this place on a local friends recommendation. I called the owner and told him I would be late because there was an accident. As I was parking outside the store he calls me to say his 4 clients are here and he cannot help me. The most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with, this business needs to be struck off. The state inside is atrocious and the smell is absolutely disgusting. The owners teeth was yellow and I wanted to get my manicure done from him?!

They are good at what they do, but they constantly talk amongst themselves loudly and laugh which makes client feel uncomfortable.
Food smell and products smell makes the premises smell bad.
Not good at customer service.

At times they talk down to the customers.
Sadly my last visit put me off, my treatment was cut short and was very basic, I felt robbed i didn't get value for my money.
I will not be going there again.
Prices are higher than other nail salons in the area.
This is a industry, if you don't know how to serve customers nicely and rightly, then you are classified as a money grabbing business which loses its reputation very quickly.
Also No Credit Card Payments.
Cash with no receipts.

If you want a horrible customer service then this is the salon to visit!
I booked for my mum to get her shellac nails taken off. I called up prior to the appointment and asked how much it would cost. The man on the phone asked if she’s got her nails with them I said and yes and mentioned she’s for shellac nails. He didn’t ask me anything else and just quoted me £8. My mum went in and the lady that works there told her it’s £12. My mum mentioned that her daughter called up and was quoted £8. They started being rude to her telling her she doesn’t understand anything and that she needs to come in with her daughter next time. The man was also shouting her telling her to leave if she doesn’t want to pay £12 because they are busy and have other customers. My mum was forced to pay £5 for only her nail colour to be taken off. My mum came back home shaken and very upset saying how rude they were to her and they treated her very badly ganging up on her to leave the salon.
I called up the salon to speak to the manager and unfortunately they all claim they are the manager and owner of the salon and the man on the phone just said you are a new customer they don’t care as they have 1000 other customers and to stop calling them because they are very busy. I explained we are also a paying customer whether we are a new or old customer everyone should be treated the same and with respect. He was very rude and just hung the phone on me. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. This salon should be closed for business.

I’ve been coming here for years. This is the most amazing nail salon I’ve ever been to. Nowhere is as good as this place. The staff are really lovely too.

They are okay for the price. The finishing isn't amazing, they rush the job but are somehow always delayed to start your appointment and you're hanging around for ages; odd! The vibe is also isn't amazing in there. There are better places on the high street for similar price.

I’ve been coming here for roughly a year now. They’ve always made my
Nails look great and I’ve never had any problems with them. My nails tend to last for quite awhile too. I’ve even recommended the salon to a friend who got her prom nails done there in July. Would defo recommend to others as well
